Democrat Debate and Caucuses 2020 (Or, rather the state thereof...)

So, with the way the Democrat debates and Caucuses have been going as of late, especially after the last debate which turned into a Mexican-standoff-turned massacre and then the Nevada caucus which saw Bernie getting the vote, what's everyone's thoughts???

We can only hope.

Trump would debate rings around him, plus there is tons of material for use in attack ads against Bernie after what Veritas found and what the old fool has let happen at his rallies.

Has anybody heard anything about Bernie firing the nutjob(s) talking about putting people into camps? I certainly haven't.

Bernie Sanders could very well be the Democratic nominee for 2020...and I admit, that concerns me. While many may scoff at the notion of Americans electing a damn Socialist for POTUS, one cannot take anything for granted, remember this is the same mistake the Clinton campaign made in 2016. Bernie Sanders for all his ridiculousness about Socialist revolution has a very fired up base and is pretty much the man representing the ideals of the hard left including the "Squad" and AOC, hence "socialist democrats", and considering the democrats modus operandi, I hate to say it, but I would expect them to pull every last damn dirty trick in the book up and including even a potential outbreak of the coronavirus here in the U.S. to attempt to seize the election. Point is, the Democrats can't even fathom the idea of another four years of Trump, their behavior speaks for itself, so where does that leave them?

One thing to consider if Bernie is the nominee is what happens to the gains that the democrats made in the suburban congressional districts in 2018. It seems that the democrats won the House on the backs of moderate candidates in the previously reliable Republican suburban districts. I have to image, that if Bernie is the nominee, the GOP is going to do their damnedest to associate these moderate democrats with Bernie's socialist policies.

So while a Bernie nomination concerns me. I think it provides the GOP with opportunities to turn back the Democratic gains in 2018.

I'm hoping he doesn't win the nomination, simply because I don't like him as a potential president. I would rather have a seemly stronger opponent for Trump than possibly have Mister "I'm a democratic socialist! But boy are those communist states great!" Sanders sworn in as POTUS.

I'll be honest. I'm a conservative who doesn't actually like Trump (did a write-in in 2016; I live in a solidly blue state), but Bernie is crazy enough that I will actually vote for Trump.

And the next DNC debate is about to start soon: Feel free to leave comments here.

Right now they're interviewing various talking heads, each shilling for their particular faction. And my god, the Congressional Black Caucus is a bunch of insufferable hypocritical dipshits.

So far it's another circular firing squad. Some obvious pandering to the black vote since the debate is in South Carolina. Also pandering to the antigun groups, meh.

You know why I really dislike the democrats is how they keep talking about raising taxes. I love free stuff, but by everything holy, they have no common sense on the value of money. They are either rich billionaires or politicians, or both. Where are the middle class people running? Pete is probably the closest in this regard, but it seems like all his sense went right out the window.

I actually took the time to go to Bernie's website and read how he plans to pay for things. The answer is push off to tomorrow while we spend that money today with no guarantee that revenue will increase. If anyone else can make more sense of his plan, please explain it to me, because he seems to think that the economy will stay the same while taxes go through the roof.

They should forget that shit and talk about the most current issue. Corona chan and how electing me I will like all politicians make promises that I may or may not keep.

This debate has certainly animated Joe Biden into much more active rhetoric--I'm half-convinced with his 'Tommy come lately' nicknaming of Steyer, the interrupting and 'You're Wrong!' Trump-like behavior in his spar with Klobuchar, and with the sparring with the moderator over not being given time/questions, that Biden's advisors told him to act as much like Trump as he could.
Which...Might be the biggest indicator yet that the campaign is worried about the South Carolina primary.

Bernie is getting some fire, tonight. Like the previous one was Bloomberg's, this one seems to be splitting between Bloomberg and Sanders in terms of who everyone fires at.

But the moderators are doing an incredibly, incredibly bad job. Or, at least, on those rare occaisons they even bother to try--the interruptions, talking over the limit, yelling at each other and butting-into other peoples time has been everywhere this evening.

My two favorite parts of the debate so far watching with my Dad:
-Mayor Bloomberg warning that studies have shown that yes, Marijuana is bad for young people's brains (yup, he's just kneecapped himself) then getting ganged up on by the other candidates for saying that Xi is beholden to the PRC politburo.
-Mayor Buttigieg's amazing statement that the Democrats shouldn't be fussing over "what coups happened in the 1970's or 80's". No way Bernie bros are voting for him in the general election for that.
Yeah, this is bloodsports-tier messy in terms of moderators not stepping in while people blabber over each other.

He has to deal with Corona chan and I don't know how he'll fare.
He has been very pro-active and vocal on the issue. Going as far to get angry about people with the virus being brought back to the US from Japan. He knows it is going to get bad, so he has got out in front of it.

I love how the end of the debate is about mottos. That is most and best substance they have had all night.
