What the current periods of time has shown us, to me, is that our ancestors or past people knew far more about the human condition then we ever did. Of course, they did some retarded shit. But they still knew far more then we did and created traditions and ways of behavior around such knowledge and our zeal to be more enlightened has only resulted in showing why the people of the past acted or believed in certain things and how correct they were.
