At least from US service...

The Marine Corps adopted the FA-18C way back in 1987 and served with the Corps for the next 34 years. Many will be replaced with the upcoming F-35B JSF.

The US Navy had already retired all of its FA-18C's awhile ago in 2018, replacing them with later model Super Hornets or the F-35C.

The last FA-18C's were built in 2000 and actually assembled in Finland for service with the Finnish Air Force.

Finland, Kuwait and Switzerland still operate this variant of the Hornet however.

Me-210 was so bad the number 310 was skipped windows style, while 410 was fairly good, but way too late. F-35 on the other hand has many starting flaws (especially due to requirement for the airframe to support VSTOL variant) but can still be made good, most importantly though, there is no total war to press it's possible shortcomings forth.

I still have reservations on the F-35, personally. They make me think of the Me-210 and 410.
The biggest problem with modern aircraft isn't the airframe (usually), it's usually the electronics and more specifically the software that is the biggest problem. Debugging isn't as easy as it looks.

And we're in process of replacing our own Hornets as well with our HX Project. The requests for the Best and Final Offers was sent on last January, and we're expecting BAFO:s by the end of April. And before the end of the year we'll decide if we'll either get F-35, F/A-18 E / F + EA-18G, Dassault Rafale, Eurofighter Typhoon or Saab Gripen E / F + Global Eye AWACS. The budget for the entire acquisition is 10 billion euros of which 9 billion is available to the tender with the rest being used in Finland in infrastructure construction, fusing the chosen fighter jet to our defense system. The amount of aircraft to be ordered will be roughly 60.
