Far left funding antifa

So good news and bad news, the prosecutor who dealt with the Antifa people who attacked marchers and police officers tried to get them off, the good news a judge took one look at that and said no dice. So this will go to court.

I hope this is the start of Antifa being reined in.

Where’s the bad news?

It is rather common for juidicary in liberal city to go easy on the blackshirts, it's been known since they started attacking Trump supporters during elections.
They were set up on a garage roof overlooking the protests, with rifles and stated that their intent was to open fire on the left-wing counterprotesters if they deemed the situation "out of control"
But you really can't see that as anything but a threat and a huge escalation.
So they had unloaded guns in cases in some nearby property in accordance with local gun laws, just in case if blackshirts escalated their usual levels of thuggery from bludgeons, knives and pepper spray to guns. Truly a huge escalation on their side.

I’m pretty sure he’s on a logic that Antifa would NEVER actually hurt anyone or be threatening enough to require a gun being pointed at them

If you live by the sword, you should be prepared to die by the sword. That the Lefties are whining about their victims getting a sword too, is very telling.

Well, I’m pretty sure they’re not bringing any swords in the first place.

There’s a difference between Force and Violence, they are using Force.

Are you referring to state repression or non-state violence?

Because the lefts opponents have been doing both, far more and earlier than this "Antifa is causing all of the rights backlash" narrative implies

right wing individual violence
no one sane argues this isn't a thing.

But when it happens people on every side decry it and say "this is bad and wrong and must not be supported". When Antifa does it "oh he shouldn't have been there, he knew it could happen after all". For feth's sake, that's LITERALLY what this thread is about "Antifa people do violence, AOC starts fundraising for their defence."

Honestly I kind of have to laugh when I see responses from the mainstream to Antifa. It's that or cry.

And if you are going to bring up Trump and Charlottesville.

finish the video, because he's very much NOT saying that the "neo nazi's and white nationalists or whatever you want to call them" were "fine people".

And just to make sure you get the message.

I mean, no it's not, AOC was raising money, before hand, to support the legal defense of protestors who often are arrested and held on spurious charges the cops know won't stand up in court.

Actually, we talked about this earlier in the thread, where I pointed out directly that this was for nominally left protestors rather than "Antifa", and questioning the intention behind tarring political opponents regardless of actual violence as terrorists not deserving of funds for legal protection.

The well liked response was "We live in the age of hypocrisy and doublethink.", so forgive me for disagreeing with your analysis

They were set up on a garage roof overlooking the protests, with rifles and stated that their intent was to open fire on the left-wing counterprotesters if they deemed the situation "out of control". The police excluded them from the property for trespassing, but did not arrest them for having weapons due to the rifles being unloaded and cased, thus at least technically not a violation of Portland gun control laws.

But you really can't see that as anything but a threat and a huge escalation.

It's no more of a threat than guys on the ground with guns, who've consistently been there and not shot anyone, nor is it an escalation since, again, people on the ground already have guns, it's not like these guys were the first ones to show up to a protest packing heat. I don't see why you're hyping this up so much.

Also, that's only one citation, you also said the right had vowed to initate violence, and I can't find anything that backs up that claim, where are you getting that information?

He does not have to explain to you, you’re supposed to just believe as it is common sense and any denial is a show of insanity or being part of the guilty party

The Boot is just going to stick it's laces in for a moment here to remind people not to try to derail the thread, to try and engage in civil debate rather than snark fests, and to stay within the rules. Carry on!

If some members go to actual prison this is what a former convict mentioned of his experiences in prison. TLDR of prison is it sucks.
