War is Peace
Honestly its more along the lines of the best of a bad situation. If we keep getting "choices" like this the US is doomed.Thats why I said he is better than the other choices. Still not a good choice but acceptable.

If Trump wins reelection I really think he should pardon both Julian Assange and Edward Snowden.
You know Assange did not publish various things the Russians have done that he had info on?
What is with the right and supporting Russian sympathizers?
But...it's okay when he hides and keeps close stuff that paints the Russians in bad light?Naturally a fedboi like yourself would support oppressing people who blew the whistle on organizations who were spying on American citizens and utterly trampling on our constitution.
But...it's okay when he hides and keeps close stuff that paints the Russians in bad light?
There isn't. But you shouldn't see him as a bastion of free speech.Okay? And how is that an excuse for all of the constitutional violations our own government committed?
There isn't. But you shouldn't see him as a bastion of free speech.
He doesn't care about free speech, only supporting an agenda against the west
What crimes against own citizenry? Did anyone go to court over what he revealed? If the west is going to commit crimes like that against its own citizenry its has no moral high ground and is not worth defending.
What crimes against own citizenry? Did anyone go to court over what he revealed?
Having cyberwarfare tools? Not a crime.
The highly known and controversial stuff like dirty laundry from wars and diplomacy was definitely not "crimes against own citizenry" yet he revealed that too, just causing damage to US and ally interests.
This and getting cold feet with some Russian stuff show that if he revealed anything truly justified by public needing to know among all the lot of stuff on wikileaks, most of it was just facilitating leaks without such justification.
Also remember he got that US extradition request under Trump to begin with:
This is one of the leaks that got Assange into real legal trouble in USA:Putting an end to the persecution of Julian Assange
EDITORIAL. The founder of WikiLeaks is seeking a last-ditch appeal in the British courts against his extradition to the US, where he is being prosecuted for espionage. Whatever the reader's opinion of him, we must hope for a sign of humanity from the British judges.www.lemonde.fr
Basically you are ascribing to Assange a more benevolent and patriotic set of motivations and more limited scope of activity than what he actually practices.Chelsea Manning - Wikipedia

Well...It's only a violation of the constitution when those in power of the constitution deem it a violation. Luckily those in power of the constitution are unbiased and a third party, right? Was talking about Edward Snowden and the leaks about the NSA's mass surveillance on US citizens. That was and is a clear constitutional violation. Its also something they never stopped doing.
That's far from the only thing he leaked, and he didn't go to court with it either, just the public. Was talking about Edward Snowden and the leaks about the NSA's mass surveillance on US citizens. That was and is a clear constitutional violation. Its also something they never stopped doing.
If he went to the courts, he'd just be killed quietly without anyone knowing it.That's far from the only thing he leaked, and he didn't go to court with it either, just the public.
Still, most of the stuff he revealed would not even be suitable to take to court as it was foreign related, so if he was solely concerned about few more controversial domestic programs, why didn't he stick to leaking that? Did he *have* to reveal absolutely everything he had?If he went to the courts, he'd just be killed quietly without anyone knowing it.
Not just people on the right; most anti-establishment people don't give a crap about whether or not someone is a Russian sympathizer, because Russia isn't anywhere close to being their primary concern, not compared to their own government. You know Assange did not publish various things the Russians have done that he had info on?

That's a very interesting set of terms to use.Not just people on the right; most anti-establishment people
Enjoy your company of anarchists then. Those hate all governments, establishments etc.don't give a crap about whether or not someone is a Russian sympathizer, because Russia isn't anywhere close to being their primary concern, not compared to their own government.
That is bad exactly how?The highly known and controversial stuff like dirty laundry from wars and diplomacy was definitely not "crimes against own citizenry" yet he revealed that too, just causing damage to US and ally interests.
I could just as easily tell you to enjoy your company of warmongers, and the establishment that you supposedly don't like; but let's not fall down the rabbit hole of guilt by association, okay? I am well aware that the enemy of my enemy is rarely ever my friend. That's a very interesting set of terms to use.
I for one would have a very careful view of people who see a need to call themselves "anti-establishment".
Great, you are against the establishment, so am i, but what are you for?
Even i don't like the establishment, but there are some other factions out there that are even worse (some hate establishment not for being too leftist, like the right wingers, but in fact hate it for not acting leftist enough right fucking now), so they, like the infamous antifa, have a very smart reason to advertise themselves by what they are against, rather than by what they stand for.
Enjoy your company of anarchists then. Those hate all governments, establishments etc.
Doesn't mean they are reasonable or that you would enjoy living (or dying more likely) in a place they run, but that's just one kind of shitty ideas you will encounter among people who are "anti-establishment".
Yet why didn't he publish things on Putin and Assad? That is bad exactly how?
Exposing a murderer that wasn't caught or a person that recycles money from unethical and immoral dealings is praised and doesn't put anyone in jail or with an arrest warrant.
The same reasoning applies to US,EU and allies and their proxies.
