Images Funny Pictures and Memes - You know you want them, here we have them!

... So, what's their point?

That the fossil record does not contain any trace of the supposed common ancestors. All actual fossil specimens are regarded as branches or dead-ends, never anything they are willing to say that modern species are descended from.

And - a running trope in some circles in regard to the field of human evolution - the more fragmentary and ambiguous the fossil, the bigger the claims the evolution people will make about it. Find a complete Australopithecus skeleton? Put it in the box with the others. But find a mall fragment of jawbone and a single tooth?
Oh wow! This is groundbreaking! It completely changes all our theories! Etc etc
And then they forget about it and toss it in the box.

Look, I get it’s a pervasive meme and all, but Young Earth creationism needs to die—and elements of the Right who still cling to it really ought to let go already. Frankly, if a belief system only holds sway because of the straw-men and pseudoscience peddled by liars and grifters who fail at basic biology (like the Creationist Classroom idiots debunked above)... maybe it’s time to stop believing in it.

What if it means you're attracted to two genders, but neither is Binary? Like you're only attracted to Juxera and Itasha?

It's amazing how they said all that, and still didn't bother to actually define what it is.
Even in the world of made-up genders Juxera stands out as a made-up piece of nonsense. Literally nobody identifies as Juxera. Even the various sites trying to list all the genders each have a different description of Juxera (except the ones that scrape each other's definitions) because nobody can tell what the heck it is. It was basically put up as "Hey look, we invented a new gender!" by some guy named Wulfgender in a Tumblr post. He wanted to name it Proxera but that was the brand name of kind of ointment so he called it Juxera instead.

You can't make this stuff up.

And if the only way you can argue against YEC is to attack strawman versions of it while refusing to acknowledge its more serious proponents, then maybe your hostility to it is not based on science or evidence, but on something else entirely.

Also - do you assume that everyone who is skeptical of the idea of all animals having a single common ancestry must therefore be YEC?

You, I, and every other human are descended from Adam and Eve, but not in the way scripture presents it. They didn't live at the same time and weren't the first two humans.

Every man alive today has a Y-chromosome which came from just one man and got passed from father-to-son without interruption. Everyone also has mtDNA which came from just one woman which has been passed mother-to-daughter straight to you.

And then science marches on a bit...

Edge cases can also result in random wierd shit like my little sis Henrietta.

She's genetically male and a mother of five. That was a bit of "Wait, WTF?"

Young earth creationism is a joke, because of last thursdayism. It exposes that it can't be falsified. That's not a strawman, that's fatal to it being scientific at all.
