Not much different from several large cities, where deaths amongst voulnerable populations are filed under natural causes, to keep crime statistics within acceptable parameters.
Earlier this month, I was talking to a cousin who works in law enforcement in a small San Joaquin Valley "sanctuary" town and lives in the boondocks outside town. She told me that from what she sees personally, and from what info she sees from the local PD, the sheriffs, and the FBI, the area is essentially a dumping ground for the cartels and local gangs, with dead bodies turning up in the fields weekly and even daily. I'm talking dozens, possibly hundreds per year.
This is a solid person whose perspective I trust, but I am going to have to dig up more info. No media on the subject, of course, and apparently nobody at all in government is interested in publicity on the issue.
The best way for that to happen is for someone to say, their death at the cartel's hand is Trump' fault. CNN will then have it plastered across their channel.I’d bet FOX and similar would like to see that stuff, but being in opposition of the Left, means that their stuff will be dismissed
I say that to get your Lefties to admit to the insanity, is to see even CNN accidentally admitting that there were horrible mistakes or actions involving migrants
He can't be for real. Secession? In the middle of a pandemic?
What the hell are they thinking? Doesn't commiefornia own a shitload of debt to the US gov? Don't they rely on the federal government more than most states to survive?
As I recall the legal precendent on the matter can be summed up a NO, backed up with force of arms.
Technically speaking, the question of secession was never actually settled.
California could leave the union. But they have to have the permission of the federal government to do so. This would require negotiation, if it even got off the ground, and I highly doubt the border would remain where it is right now.
Not to mention negotiation over water rights, and what to do about the citizenship question.
Unilateral secession, i.e. California declaring itself independent with no input from or negotiation with the federal government, on the other hand is illegal. That was the question settled by the Civil War.
And believe you me, the large agricultural and rural areas of California are not going to be inclined to give a newly-separated coastal nation-state sweetheart deals on providing them with the foodstuffs they need. Oh, they won't give them overly harsh deals either, but as the 'NCR' regulates an bureaucratizes itself ever-further into oblivion, the parts of the state that remained with the USA would steadily sell less and less to them as it became more difficult and less economically viable.
I think the urban types can send in guys en masse to those agricultural and rural areas and do the votes for them to make them be forced to join up with the rest of California
Or even without moving, the votes of the majority will eclipse the votes of the minority.
The will of the people.
They may however try getting other states to accept them in ASAP
Carl let me explain things because you are not an American.
The minute California polititions try to actually succeed from the union they become traitors, the last time it happened America didn't let them go peacefully and it wont happen this time either.
And just how much military power or force of arms does California got?
I think they’d mostly defect too
Let me put it this way in an actual fight?....
yeah we would lose bad, first of all the mariens are not going to side with the successionists so all those bases? Their hostle, Sandiego knows where their bread is buttered so yeah any naval assets get crushed and the entire state is blocaded rather easily. Thats before the urban rural devide kicks in and the vast majority of the counties side with the federal government.
A succession movement that legit tries in Cali ends up being sequested to a few major cities and starved to death at best.
And then there's Fort Irwin and its its ridiculously well trained soldiersLet me put it this way in an actual fight?....

There's also the very likley situation that CNG tells Sacramento to get bent. I'd wager quite a few of the take thier oath to the Constitution seriously. And then there's Fort Irwin and its its ridiculously well trained soldiers
Doubt it they've got thier own business to run. If anything they'd take the opportunity to seize more power in the chaos. Remember gangs are primitive states/tribes in alot of ways.So basically, since their population is largely disarmed, California's military will consist of LA's drug dealer gangs?
And many that don't, realize that they are hopelesly outgunned. There's also the very likley situation that CNG tells Sacramento to get bent. I'd wager quite a few of the take thier oath to the Constitution seriously.
