They also have what, two main Marine bases there? Multiple Navy bases? Multiple Air bases? Nit including Reserve units...
Do you know how large that is? Like...sure they could use the national guard to fight the Reserve and Active military but they most likely would be brought in to go against the State, since the federal government can do this.
