Star Wars Goodbye There (Obi-Wan Kenobi TV Series Reborn)

having grown up just a little bit before the prequals came out (I remember the promotional merch for the phantom menace), I've honestly seen so many parts of Star Wars get retconned, continuity doesn't really phase me anymore. I don't have Disney plus (You can thank Disney threating to try to brute force DeSantis into repealing the Anti-groomer bill for that) but I got to see all of the Vader Vs obi-Wan parts on youtube. I liked them, awesome visuals good dialogue (Hayden actualy does a remarkable job at imitating Sebastian Shaw during the half-unmasked scene), bout the only complaint I had was if Anakin was truly dead to Obi-Wan, what prevented Obi-Wan from stabbing him though the main control panel of the suit or going for the head? Obi-Wan had the opportunity to end Vader then and there, give both Ahsoka and Luke peace, and greatly weaken the empire in the process. yet in-universe he doesn't 'take the shot" for...reasons, I guess.

The whole series would have been better if Vader had been the main antagonist from the start as opposed to Reva (I don't mind her origin, but I can't help but think she'd have been better suited as a fallen order series antagonist not something related to Obi-Wan)

Luke could have mostly taken Leia's spot and very little would have changed and frankly it would have made more sense for Luke to be the one to give Obi-Wan well.... A New Hope (Pun only partial intended). Having Leia there just seemed like a cheap way of explaining how she would have gotten attached enough to "Old Ben" to justify naming her son after him. (a very dumb decision on Abrams part)

Not as bad as Boba Fett but certainly nowhere near the level of Bad Batch and The Mandalorian. I am convinced at this point the only real-life Star Wars related civil war though is the same ol civil war with the different factions of Star Wars Fans that's been going on since 1983 after the release of ROTJ.

Kathleen Kennedy isn't going anywhere. Disney Lucasfilm will do what Disney Lucasfilm will do. If you like it good for you, if not, there is always the old stuff and fanfiction.

just wanted to point out that sadly I was right on the above.
