Should finally give some words on the last chapter. Man do love it. Especially with the timing of October. No vote but who did the worst of this challenge. Sadly was DJ and it makes sense with him not even being caught by Chef. The only one I can think of who came close to DJ was Trent and that was because of being afraid of Izzy but unlike DJ though Trent was caught by Chef. Though Trent was weirdly enough more afraid with the state he was in. Do find it funny that it was DJ trying to snap Trent out instead of the other way around. Though Trent is getting a bit more ruthless with his plan to run in different direction and thinking Izzy would go after DJ instead.
DO love the Izzy and Jason prank on Heather. Even better that it got DJ and Trent in it as well. It was sweet that Jason stayed for Heather. Yeah with basically saving her Heather is having a harder time ignoring the possible crush she has. Which should have interesting effects in the other episodes. Jason winning wasn't a surprise. It was either him or Eva I thought was gonna win by beating the real killer. Speaking of Eva somewhat did good but was caught. Would say she did better than most in this.
Courtney trying to keep everyone together. Was good effort but she didn't have well......respect? Not sue if that's the right word. Which lead to only Courtney and Duncan in their group. Duncan probably could of helped keep the group together but that would go against his interests. Got a little romantic scene between them. Very funny that Duncan was trying to push Courtney so he can escape instead of her thinking it was to save her but he isn't gonna correct her(XD).
Which means we have the final seven. Heather, Izzy, Trent, Courtney, Duncan, Eva and Jason. Only three of them were here in canon. Vote numbers are starting to get low so people need to find who they can work with even if its just for one vote. Cortney and Duncan are a obvious alliance because of relationship which puts a target on their backs from Heather and Jason wanting to get back at Duncan. The only other alliance I can think of is Jason, Eva and Izzy which gives them a big advantage if they can keep everyone else from working against them. Heather and Trent are not in a group but they could remake their alliance though Trent might be put off by Heather from the Lindsay situation.
Hey, haven't heard from you in a bit! Glad to see you back! Now, let's see...
Yeah, I wasn't originally planning on having this chapter out by October, but with the hiatus I did over the summer that's how it ended up, appropriately enough. And yeah, although I had a hard time getting anyone but DJ kicked off this time around, I at least wanted him to go out with marginally more dignity than he did in canon, hence the whole Trent situation. And Trent's plan backfiring was just too funny to pass up.
Yes, Heather is having some difficulties at the moment, between the prank and then the saving at the end, and the blood all over her hand, and so on. It'll play into the next chapter a lot; I already have a good portion of it written. As for Eva, I figured that, on a purely physical level, she would probably have the best chance next to Jason to pull off a win. However, I realized that Eva had never really been in a "scary" situation in canon (Sasquatchanakwa notwithstanding), so I thought it'd be funny to have it turn out that, although she's tough, she's not 100% on board with scary stuff, hence her reaction once she was alone in the girls' cabin.
Yeah, I sorta split Gwen's original role between Courtney and Heather, and Courtney sadly had not really earned the respect of her fellow campers to the point that she could effectively assume much of a leadership role. As you say Duncan could've probably helped with keeping the group together, but just like in canon he was more interested in facing off against the psycho killer. And he will never, ever ever, correct Courtney on what happened, because her version of the events is 100% correct and if anyone says otherwise they will mysteriously receive a good beating.
Yeah, although both DJ and Lindsay got kicked off the same way they did in canon, there still are comparatively few canon campers left at this juncture. And the alliances - official or not - are wearing a bit thin, the Jason/Eva/Izzy one being the exception. With Duncan and Courtney making no secret of their new status as a couple, they do have a huge target on their backs... the question being if anyone else has a bigger one or not. Basically, right now, we have the Duncan/Courtney and Jason/Eva/Izzy groupings, with Trent and, perhaps surprisingly, Heather being the lone agents at this time. As for how that develops? Read the next chapter to find out
