It's the fact that that 60+% of the left *literally* believe that ALL conservatives are racist. Seriously, btw. These people consider conservative and racist to be synonyms. That's nearly or maybe up to, 2/3rds of them think that every single conservative is a racist.

So they'll make an argument like "oh oh oh that person you like so much is [insert minority] how to you like THAT?" Like it's some kinda gotcha.

But as we all know, the truth is the vast majority of conservatives are NOT racists, so it kinda just falls flat.

Most conservatives I converse with genuinely don't give a fuck about race...but that's racist to the left these days lol.

Honestly, I sometimes wonder if these weirdos actively want the people to their right to snap and start having a problem with them, just so that they can point and screech some more.

And plenty of them may genuinely believe it, but really, I think there's an equally pernicious "attention whore" element to it, especially since the incentive structure has—more and more—gone from one of pitying and comforting victims, to valorizing their victimhood and seeking to "emulate" it for Wokeness points.

In fact, those who join in don't even having to be seething, frothing-at-the-mouth zealots to begin with, they just have to be otherwise-passive NPCs who see a way to benefit themselves, take it, and get "roped in" somewhere down the line—which, sad as it is, is probably the most successful way to build an authoritarian movement, beyond just conscripting the small minority of naturally fanatical and bloody-minded elements of the population that rub most people the wrong way otherwise.

Conservatives are tribalists, and you have to earn your place in the tribe.

There is a difference between tribalism and racism but if your not willing to look for nuance they look like the same thing. They arn't, there is a difference between the guy who doesn't trust you because he doesn't know you and the guy who doesn't trust you because of bigotry.

You earn you place in the tribe and conservatives are lovely people.
