I mean, it's the pattern for conspiracy-theories--establish via kernel of something that sounds believable with coincidences and then construct elaborate stuff off of that kernel.

It's just...kind'a like with Alex Jones...you never want/expect the kernel of something believable to actually be a kernel of truth centered around rich & famous people trafficking in child sex.
