This is only true because we civilize our children before they become adults.
We aren't doing that. We're refusing structure and discipline as a society.
When that happens, you have to resort to discipline of the adults in order to reform society.

The decline was in motion since the 20s. A reversal was impossible because the "Religious Right" in the West are a bunch of nincompoops and conmen. The only half competent Christians in US are the Catholics, and the Jews are too few to matter. Other than that, the only forces for social order are.....the Marxists, whose ideas of order are basically a police state where the only crimes are crimes against The Party. Anarcho-Tyranny, in short.

And of course, the neoliberals are hardly any better. Unlike Singapore and other eastern First World countries, the managerial class in the West is forced into alliance with the Marxists and so cannot guarantee safety for all citizens.

I keep on telling people, every "organization" / "foundation" is basically the mouthpiece of one or more oligarchs who personally created and funded it.

Problem: the terrain in Alaska makes it EXTREMELY hard

...you really, really, really do not understand what fighting on the Bering or in Alaska itself would be like, nor exactly how unfriendly to many modern aircraft those conditions are.

I mean, good luck even getting decent targeting data, sat-photo's, or recon sorties done for missile strikes on anything but fixed assets.
