......"Operation Payback was a success. Kim II-sung was dead including several members of his family. It was unknown who would be taking over as the leader of the isolated communist country considering majority of the North Korean government and armed forces were completely wiped out. Rumor has it that China and the Soviet Union, Cuba and some of their communist allies secretly smuggled Kim's remaining family out of North Korea due to the aggressive bombing campaign and the air raids. Another rumor was that North Korean First Lady Kim Song-ae was going to be tapped as the hermit kingdom's Head of State, which was quite odd considering over 90+% of the North Korean government and their armed forces once again, got wiped out in Operation Payback's aggressive air-raid and bombing campaigns, etc.,
In the meantime, things were slowly getting back to normal along the Peninsula as the Republic of Korea Armed Forces along with the United Nations Forces Command and US Forces Korea assisted by staunch allied partners like Taiwan, Japan, United Kingdom, France and others managed to aggressively push the border all the way back. Knowing that the President wasn't a fan of dragging out long occupations, the mission was accomplished by April 30, 1984. However, we are always on 100% extreme high alert just in case those pesky North Koreans and their obvious client allies in Beijing and Moscow were attempting start something!"
