I love how angry the Pokemon cultists, the Corporation cultists, and the Woke cultists (amongst which there is admittedly an enormous amount of overlap) are getting over this game; to the point where they're lashing out like children throwing temper tantrums.

They already did against one guy offering a mod to reskin pals into pokemon that had it locked behind a patreon.

It's hilarious. Some of these morons were even dumb enough to be fooled by obvious scammers impersonating the official Palworld Twitter account and used that as evidence to spread fake news about Pocketpair being "NFT bros" even after the scammers were immediately exposed.

Interview with Pocketpair's CEO, Takuro Mizobe; it covers a wide range of topics on Palworld that are generally on people's minds. I am glad with Mizobe's implication that they won't be patching out the fun bugs unless it makes the game unplayable.

It's not a bad experience for $40CAD, haven't run into any major bugs so far. Way better than any meme game has any right to be.

The fact that it isn’t a glitchy, buggy mess and actually shipped as a complete product puts it head and shoulders above some triple A projects nowadays.

The fact that it was reasonably priced and actually fun puts it in game of the year territory in my opinion.

So supposedly Palworld might be losing a lot of money on servers, more than it makes even with this absurd success.

Spoiler: Server Costs

I personally don't understand why they have servers, since it's not an MMO and instead a 4-player multiplayer, which could easily be handled by any local PC. Hopefully they make an update to that effect, instead of imploding. I don't play the game, but I enjoy its effect on the zeitgeist.
