You do know that the Bin Laden raid is one example of the missions that can't be done anymore? Cause that was a CIA op with military support.

Bin Laden wouldn't have been a problem to begin with had Clinton valued American lives more than Saudi lives. So I'm not sure if that's the best example.
You do know that SOCOM acts independently 99% of the time right?
So? Some of the most effective missions are the ones done with CIA support, such as that one and al-Bagdahdi. I mean, its unfortunate that whatever caused to happen happened, as the CIA works well with special ops, and pretending they just get soldiers killed is the height of stupidity.
You do know they are in operations with more then the CIA right? NSA also is apart of that just as much, and the US can do those things without CIA support, because SOCOM recently became fully independent, used to rely on DoD for some assets/

No, cripple our military while we remove the dirty players, hold it back and once we've expunged the rot. Let our warriors do what they were trained to do once more, but this time free of the poison.
So let our enemies get an upper hand and have us be so far out of it, that by the time we get it no longer being crippled our enemies have basically made it impossible for us to get an upperhand?
You can expunge the rot without crippling the military.

You mean the laws that the previous administrations skirted, played or ignored at will. Matters that Nixon had to leave White House for, were kids stuff compared to what Obama administration got away with.
