Given the US repeated warned Russian and Putin that something was up, and the FSB got a few IS-K cells recently, and Putin played down the warnings from the US just 3 days ago, I doubt we had any hand in this.
Given Biden is also trying to get Ukraine to stop targeting Russian oil refineries, I think Biden wants to try to make nice with Russia despite his promises to Ukraine, because high gas prices hurt Biden's 'elect-ability'.
No, in all likelihood this is either jihadi's, or a false flag designed to look like jihadi's, and I'd be really nervous if I lived in Georgia or the Caucasus right now.

Russians won't be behind false flag to look like Jihadis on themselves, as it doesn't advance their interests. It encourages Jihadis and distracts from the war effort with Ukraine. If the Russians were behind an attack on their own people, it would be a drone strike against a school or something to frame Ukraine. They don't want to rile Jihadis, that doesn't help Russia at all.
If it is a false flag, it's going to be the US or some Muslim country, but I highly doubt it. It's almost certainly real.
Ukraine doesn't have the contacts it would need to do this, it's frankly outside of their capabilities. That's only possible if the US basically hand fed this to them.
The US maybe could, but they wouldn't. Quite bluntly, Biden would need to give the go ahead, and he doesn't have the balls to do this. If he did, it would be something that would directly target Trump, not an attack against Russia.
It matches some Muslim countries MO (Pakistan, the Saudis, and Iran), but it's also the wrong religion for Iran, Pakistan would have hit India, and the Saudis are too far away.

Fair points and I didn’t know about all of that.
But I also wouldn’t discard plausible deniability on the part of the CIA. Something along the lines of ‘it couldn’t be our doing, we tried to warn you, we wouldn’t do that if we se it all up. That’s crazy-talk!’
Heck one could even play up Putin’s role in downplaying the threat to create greater dissatisfaction.
It could point out how, not only did Putin downplay the threat, but if Russia wasn’t at war, didn’t have all its trained men and resources going to the Front, maybe the reaction to support services in stopping the attack would have been quicker.
Agreed. It’s just I’m not quite sure if it’s legitimate jihadis or not. And if it isn’t, I’m not sure about who is responsible.
Still, damn shame about all the poor people who’ve got killed or injured because of this. Regardless of who is behind the attack, they and the attackers are scum.

Well Russia has been threatening Kazakhstan in the last two years. If it was a false flag they'd be a target. With his "election" secure Putin's getting ready to shift to a war economy. I'm laughing so hard that they think they can attack Warsaw and succeed.
Ukraine needs to burn the entire Russian oil refineries. With them gone Russia can't continue their expansion. 10% of Russian refinery capacity has been taken offline. With oil the only industry remaining to prop up Russia the US calls for Ukraine to stop is fucking counterproductive.
