Fallout The Eagle And The Bear [Fallout AU]

Considering your Fallout 4 protag will by mid-game have turned hundreds of living thinking people into corpses, it would be weird if he wasn't a killing machine. My gun is driving railroad spikes into the livers of anyone who looks at me funny, I am not a model of conventional morality.
Still morally superior to the Fallout 3 protag, who can literally do a genocide for no clear reason.

Man this is sweet, Sodaz really shows how brutal warfare in Fallout really is:

Also, finally found a way to tie together all the narrative strands at work in this story!

Project Sunburst has been my comforting light in this dark time. Proof that I'm not just going crazy and that Fallout is cool and inspiring at its core. Having both sides of the battle play to their strengths and try to overcome enemy weaknesses is just so beautiful to watch after so much Hollywood tactics elsewhere. I also just like when armor works like armor in any media, rather than clanky clothes. The NCR shocktroopers' armor is clearly good enough to tank basic small arms but even before the paladins waste them we see rounds hitting uncovered parts or heavier rounds penetrating. And the power armor *chef's kiss* makes the paladins walking tanks capable of overwhelming most enemies without making them invulnerable.

Its my happy place right now.

Still morally superior to the Fallout 3 protag, who can literally do a genocide for no clear reason.
I'm sorry, no reason? It was an eyesore clearly seen from the top of Tenpenny Tower!

That's the feeling I'm trying to capture for Enclave/American (depending on the PoV, if you couldn't tell already) PA troops. Tough but not invulnerable.

Oh, I was thinking of something completely different. Make that multiple genocides. And one of them doesn't even get your dad that mad at you!

it still kinda plays into the "Wastelander-supremacist"
Can you really blame them? The Enclave is everything wrong with the American security state and oligarchy, having blown up the world and hidden themselves in bunkers while the people they supposedly existed to protect died, then emerged to try and genocide the survivors. They absolutely deserve every bit of their bad reputation.

Simplified ORBAT of a US Armored Division under the new pentomic command structure, which is expected to be fully put in force by mid-late 2332. Each tank platoon has three vehicles and a command tank as part of its structure. Regimental HQs and subordinate units such as recon teams are left out for brevity's sake.

I mean the Wasterlander supremacists who literally think they are genetically superior to both the Enclave people hiding out on the rig and also vault-dwellers. It is less that they think they are morally superior, that is understandable, it is more the "These people are lesser than us from birth because 'evolution.'"

@Navarro mentioned them some chapters back.
“I’m an academic, Senator Langdon. I have enough politics to deal with in my department, and my advisory position of course. And there are some people who’ve signed your ‘statement’ that I would not want my name put beside.”

“Like who?”

Victor Carlyle, the man who claims that we’re genetically superior to the Enclave because we’re ‘more evolved’. Michael Morgenstern, that rabble-rouser talk show host. Morgan Hefley, the man who claims the Enclave existed since 1776. They jumped on your bandwagon immediately, along with others who I won’t give the dignity of naming. All popular people with mediocre talent. I’m not a stepping stone for your ambitions, Senator, and I think your proposed policy is completely unworkable.”

Well, he is *kinda* right in that the Federalist Party, essentially Autumn's fanclub and the political successors of the oldschool Enclave elite from the time he was in power, are essentially protectionist ]neocons (the ALP, on the other hand are populist librights including outright lolbertarians on the fringe)

On the one hand ending the last remnants of those who dropped the bomb in a mushroom cloud was rather poetic, but it did make all your proof of global genocide expanding plasma.
Yep. Most people on the East Coast these days would see the Federalist Party, which has the largest number of "former Enclave" politicians, as the party of responsible governance, family values, law and order, a strong military and commitment to reunifying America etc. Stuff about what Richardson did, especially with the lack of evidence, just would not compute.

But still ... hehehehe ...

I mean, half of the remnants of those who dropped the bomb. Always a possibility there was a Chinese equivalent of the Enclave out there, not like the Enclave had much way of checking much across of all of China afterwards. Or they could have completely died out, who knows?
