Arch Dornan
Oh, lovely. They've sent me a mo-ron.
Poz?
4.5 means a very good game (90%) which is a far cry from the greatest video game ever made like Western review fappers are gurgling.
Still watching the LP's it does look good. But good grief there are so many scripted and cinematic scenes... The game play seems frenetic when it does happen and the graphics are beautiful. But the 'story' and 'characters' the only reason it can be considered good is because scripted and cinematic scenes take up a majority of the game.
It's supposed to be a game. Not a movie. It's like the difference between Wolfenstein and it's immediate sequel. Less game play and more bloviated cutscenes.
If you spend twenty hours of your thirty hour game telling people things about the story and character then it's not really 'the gameplay' that's telling the story.
And as is so far, yes the characters are more developed then say Days Gone (though not necessarily more likable) but DG had more open world gameplay and gameplay in general.
And character wise, Telltale's 1st season of The Walking Dead has better characters so far IMHO. This might be a good game but I don't see it as being revolutionary yet.
But we'll see.
In other words....it stretches into bloviated hours-long yawn-inducing melodramatic bits about morality like the Metal Gear series?
The problem with the cycle of revenge is that in the case of the Last of Us it fails to attempt to draw us in to it. for example, every review I have seen talks about how grueling the game is which means that it is essentially shouting "Revenge is bad" at us without ever explaining what would draw someone into these kinds of self-destructive feuds and what causes these actions to be so naturally appealing.I've heard that this game is doing the tired "Revenge is bad!"

Not to mentions that its fucking bullshit. Leftist politics is all about revenge and vengeance and these very people moralize to us about how revenge, violence and vengeance is bad.The problem with the cycle of revenge is that in the case of the Last of Us it fails to attempt to draw us in to it. for example, every review I have seen talks about how grueling the game is which means that it is essentially shouting "Revenge is bad" at us without ever explaining what would draw someone into these kinds of self-destructive feuds and what causes these actions to be so naturally appealing.
Would it be much worse if Joel got his brains splattered with a film camera and then tossed over a ledge?Dude, I got friends who are absolutely roasting this game. Ellie comes off as an ungrateful bitch who 'no longer needed' Joel but then is super broken up about his death.
Abby....hoooo mamma...everyone hates her. Everyone. One of the most fulfilling scenes in the game is when cuckman...err...Druckmans SI gets what is coming to him. Let us not forget the catalyst for all of this is when Joel is brutally murdered.
On the bright side he didn't include mo cap blow jobs or rimjobs?Holy fuck...what!?
There's a whole category of nerds who semi-grew out of video games and comic books, and now they want video games and comic books to be converted into something that fits their (stunted, ridiculous) tastes. For both comic books and video games this means more explicit violence, retarded sexuality, and emotional histrionics.
Is it actually ever explained how in post-apocalyptica Abby got so ultra buff? I mean, this isn't a shape someone, especially a woman, gets into without some serious supplements.^^
