  • The 'Comrade' title is now available in a fetching communist red for purchase by all of you capitalists who survived the Sietch gulag during the people's revolution. And in the spirit of all communists everywhere, it was broken until the capitalist pig dogs fixed it. ;)
  • Your beloved Boot here with a confession. The Boot tangled its laces and failed to properly set up the new Comrade user title. Thanks to the kind intercession of Emperor Tippy this failure has been corrected and the new user title is now actually on sale to everybody.

Dear all the people that don't have side effects,

I hate you! I hate you with a burning passion. I hate you so much! I hope a little asteroid crashes into your little world, and I hope there isn't a little Bruce Willis to save you. I hate you.

PS This includes my husband. Damn super Ayran Captain America genes or whatever. 🤬🤮😭
Feel better! A friend of mine got the Pfizer jab and it threw her for a bad loop, her husband had a reaction that was slightly less worse (soreness and exhaustion as opposed to 24-hour flu), so I can sympathize.

Thus far, observed side effects from vaccine (Pfizer) were minor muscle ache and weakness at injection site, plus subtle but significant general fatigue. As of ~24 hours later, only remaining symptom is minor muscle ache, primarily if muscle is tensed.

Edit: Side effects completely subsided by~36 hours.

I got my second shot yesterday. Feels like I'm going to die. I'm throwing up food I ate last year. I've got almost all the listed side effects fo the Pfizer vaccine. 🤮🤮🤮🤮☹
It's been four days -- surely your side effects have subsided by now?

*snorts* Funny story here. We got registered for vaccination at work (I work for the federal government with what's deemed a vulnerable group). Now, yesterday my IT girl calls me on the phone to inform me that the nearby camp will offer vaccinations with Johnson & Johnson on Monday. While I'm not exactly happy with that, and thinking it's the official date and I gotta take it if want the vaccine, I sign on (not a fan of the J&J, seems like the least effective vaccine on first glance, with tons of drawbacks attached). Talk to the wife about it back home. She points out further flaws and notes that on the very same day, Denmark stopped using J&J because they consider the risk outweighs the benefit. So, I register online privately for vaccination and plan to tell my IT girl the next day to cancel my date on Monday.

Now for the kicker. I come to work an hour ago, open my work emails, and the first thing I find is an official confirmation of my vaccination date. But not on Monday, but on the 15th. And not with J&J, but with Moderna. The next mail comes from my boss urging me to go for the J&J on Monday.
Turns out, the J&J vaccination runs off the official registry tracks and is meant to fasttrack the vaccination of the camp inmates. Because they unexpectedly got their hands on a couple thousand J&J doses. Yeah, how about no.

I politely declined and will now get my first Moderna shot on the 15th, thank you very much.

Oddly enough, I'm getting my first Moderna shot on the 15th of May (AKA tomorrow as of the time of this post).

My old man got the Pfizer vaccine a couple weeks back and he had literally no side effects beyond a somewhat sore arm.

Guess all that military training was worth something.
