Things get worse in The Southwest

I don't see what there is to complain about. This is literally what is *supposed* to happen with a capitalist free market. You're making the exact same short-sighted complaint that so much of the self-righteous left makes about "gentrification", ignoring the fact that gentrification is a *good thing*, it is literally prosperity and growth for the future.
Shadow can you cite a quote made by me anywhere where I endorse complete lassiez-fair capitalism?

In my opinion the government shouldn't be involved in social redistribution but to me making laws to protect people from getting run over roughshod by the rich or people with down right unfair advantages do to position is perfectly acceptable.

Also kindly take into consideration I am venting about something I am slightly depressed about and realize I am in no position to do anything about .

And it is also how capitalist free market destroys itself. You either get state socialism, corporate socialism, or both, because free market leads to appearance of a small number of huge corporations which then use their size and influence to destroy the free market which allowed them to become so big in the first place. (Good example is British East India Company which, ironically, eventually destroyed itself).

But that absolutely *is* social redistribution, just a different form of it.

Redistribution is 'taking' one thing from one person and giving it to another more favorable person or group like a popularity contest. It's not to be confused with anti-monopolistic practices as monopolies only function at the owner's benefit not the wider whole of society.

(Remember most of Rockafeller's wealth wasn't stolen when standard oil was broken up merely made into competing companies)

In what world is it wrong to prevent a single man who is insanely wealthy from moving into an unincorporated area with people that can't compete economically from buying over a certain percentage of land within a small space of time? (This is my main complaint even over Californians)

The U.S. Government ideally isn't supposed to put the rich over the poor first and foremost, or even the poor over the rich, ideally the main focus of lawmaking on part of the economy should be as Theodore Roosevelt put it a 'Square Deal' which doesn't favoritize any particular group and maintains all freedom as outlined in the constitution.

Do you want a new gaming rig? Are you saving up for new pc parts? Well, Commiefornia along with a number of demorat-strongholds decided the peasants don't deserve yet another thing and outlawed "energy-intense electronics". Curiously enough thks law excludes Consoles and such. My guess is someone high in the Sony hive whined at the demorats until they agreed to bring this law. Link to twitter

This only includes pre-built rigs, not parts.

So you can essentially buy everything in a high end PC, but its no longer legal to buy the entire PC as a whole item.

Full article.

So the entire PCs will be sold as "parts", i.e. without a mouse or keyboard.
Look see? It is not a complete, working PC!

So what you're saying is that this is going to produce a new 80% parts kit market for computers? That sounds... delightfully ironic, actually; given the probable stance on gun laws of a fair chunk of people who'd end up buying them.

Any company who tries that is likely to be sued by California too quickly to be worth it.

No, the more likely thing is you'll see the DIY Computing market in California increase.

Honestly, I'd have expected them to make it illegal to buy individual computer parts and force people to buy consoles and pre-built computers.

It'd benefit the corporations, leave the average citizen oblivious, and punch down on a small, skilled population. You know, the usual Dem MO.

I don't think the average Californian politician is tech savvy enough to know that DIY builds are even a thing.
