You are forgetting the part where Bonobos developed in an ecologically isolated location, no real pressures or predators. When they encounter anything remotely violent, they get slaughtered. Honestly, a lot of comparisons to be made with current civilization. Essentially, no evolutionary pressures results in a feminized social system, which results in degraded social mores and a weaker civilization overall. Then something comes over and kicks down the sand castle and we have to get rough and rowdy again.
