Would be cool to have one of those for private use.

Ukrainians never used them, so they don't have trained pilots and maintenance crews.
>never
Never since they put them in museums at least...
They had the non-export Su-17 variant.

Why not sent yet? Because the pilots have to fly on something to keep their training hours and qualifications up.
According to this, they will go to Ukraine too once at least some recently ordered FA-50's arrive.
First 12 are supposed to start arriving in August, so i'd guess they will be handed over around third or fourth quarter of the year.

It's that deal. The first 12 will be arriving this year, the rest will be a different variant assembled in Poland since 2025, once done the first 12 will be upgraded to the same variant as the later ones..

This is its only true rival, From what I've read it actually outperformed it In most metrics as well.

Indeed it did. Infact it did so well, with a little update to avionics, computers and sensors you might have a ready made 6th Generation fighter right there. At the very least Generation 5.5.

It's unlikely to have been YF-23 though, the Chinese mass hacker breaches of networks of defense industry contractors started in the late 90s, YF-23 data has been air gapped by then, the data they stole came from F-22 and F-35, possibly also YF-32.

It should be noted that there are very few ways to stealth an aircraft, and features that would, say, make an aircraft easier to maneuver would absolutely ruin the stealth features... which leads to stealth aircraft being basically the same.

And yet we know the Raptor can do all the shit the best planes the Russians and Chinese have
