What are you playing currently?

I want to buy and play Homeworld 3, but my PC isn't powerful enough, and I have more important things to spend money on (such as cat food and rent) than a few hundred on upgrades. sigh

I still have the same old shitty graphics card (Radeon HD 5450), but I'm gonna snag an old RX 590 from eBay for about eighty quid soon. :)
  • Ryzen 5 3600
  • B450 Tomahawk Max II
  • Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO SL 32GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4 3600MHz C18
  • GameMax Abyss ARGB PC Gaming Case E-ATX, Black
  • Radeon HD 5450
So, I have a budget set up, and upgrades, such as better graphics card in the RX series would cost a few hundred, and a 5950x (for maximum AM4 longevity for a few years) is about £300.00 now, but by the time I spent a few hundred on upgrades, I might as well have gone for a new AM5 rig. sigh

Rimworld is horrifying on multiple levels.

We had this one 9-year-old girl (who was a newborn when the colony started) who wouldn't join our ideoligion, and was extremely obstinate and wouldn't be converted the normal way, so we drummed up some bullshit excuse to toss her in a jail cell until she converted. Then, she tried a prison break. So, the leader of the colony fucking beat her unconscious with the butt of a shotgun and tossed her back in.

Holy fuck. I have never seen a game before where you can literally go full-on Goofy Time on a kid for their heresy.

That's not even the most horrifying thing you can do in Rimworld. Not even close. The "human skin hats" meme is real.

Oh don’t I know it! I had one colony were we kept on getting raided and was stuck in a volcanic winter. As the food started running low, I ended up having the resident psychopath use the raiders bodies as part of kibble for the animals, as well as a fuel source via chemfuel.

I really need to play rimworld again. Probably dig up some of those HP Lovecraft mods again. As well as the WW1 mods. Eat maxim gun Deep Ones…

Not as horrifying as Dwarf Fortress. Common tactic to use in adventure mode is 'slugging' people, via removing/breaking their digits and limbs one by one so that you gain extra XP for a specific weapon or unarmed skill.

Then you start going for the other sensitive areas, try gelding them, gouge their eyes out, break all their teeth, remove their ears and nose, but don't kill them, let them recover.

Then once they're just a meat-sack sitting on the ground unable to do much of anything, beat them until their bruised and battered. Then let them recover, rinse and repeat until you're a master wrestler and finally put them out of their misery...Or just leave them there.

Dear God.

Playing Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Fantastic game.

That’s the second part of the remake right? I’ve heard there was a lot of mixed feelings about it, but haven’t looked into them. Any idea what all the fuss is about and if it’s warranted?

The battle system is a lot more like FFXIII's than VII's OG method. Some sort of hybrid ATB action type thing.

Also, ranged characters like Barret can literally cock block themselves and not be able to do any damage. (At least this happened in the first part) AI teammate programming is utterly dogshit.

The story is different. It's an AU with Time-Dementors running around and trying to bring it back to the golden timeline. Or something to that effect. I think there was implications that Aerith was peggy sue-ing the game.

Those are the biggest complaints I've come across consistently. Without getting into things like softlocks.

Overall the opinion seems to be that they do the OG game justice. But it's flawed.

(I think having multiple games make up the remake is pretty flawed because that screams money grab to me, and all sorts of filler)

Finally grinded to lvl 40 and got the Chinese Stealth Suit armor but now I need the Composite Bow because I have TOO much arrows (800 in my storage, 600 on person) and need better damage out out.

It's averaging me like 3-9 arrows to kill most things when I don't miss or don't get a headshot.

You finally have a quick means of getting caps then! When the event Uranium Fever fires go to it, their are mole miners spawning everywhere during it and their weapons usually sell for something like 15-40 caps a piece, load up until you have everything they dropped (Being over encumbered doesn't matter) then walk towards the White Springs.

As you can see the there are train tracks between the Whitespring and there is a trainstation their which you can slowly walk to while overencumbered to sell your loot hall.

Also, I assume you are doing a Robin Hood build? If so, getting those caps will help you acquire the elemental bolt plans at Foundation.

Yeah basically Stealth Skyrim archer 🏹 build 🗿 I need every advantage I can get and I think I'm pretty much maxed out in stealth stacking (75% with the perk card and then the stealth bonuses from the suit) I also have some Frenzy Hallucinations stuff for some minor CC.
