Yeah, it'll be possible, but it's also going to be extremely high risk.

Long term, I think the Cylons' best chance is to ALLY with the separatists and wrest control of that side of the conflict FROM Palps.

Yep that will be the best plan. That and have a few skin jobs infiltrate the criminal underworld and cut a deal with Maul. Maul can get them tech they can use to upgrade some of their ships with. Aka Shields.

On the Star Trek front. I just remembered something. In 1947 the Klingons are at a state that both the Galactica and the Pegasus can wreck their space assets if push comes to shove. The Klingon ships are at best Enterprise Era Earth in tech level. Their ships don't have shields and their largest ships are barely the size of an Arleigh Burke Aegis Destroyer. So if they do come across Klingons. It will go very very badly for the Klingons.
 
I thought they had a limited number of skinjobs and could not make more?
It would have been unnecessary for them to send Six to romance Baltar if they could just create more skinjobs that look like existing people, IMHO.

But now they are in the Star Wars Universe. Kamino is not the only Cloning planet around. They just make high quality clones. 3rd Party clones can be used for the task.

Clones that have a lot of issues IIRC, the Thrawn Trilogy went into the many problems the process faces with the solution being Yosalmari(sp) to block off the force and speed the gestation of the clones.Even normal clones IIRC took years to grow.And they will still need stuff like money and documents, and the Corusca Galaxy is vast.

All they need is tissue growth not whole organism. Tissue growth can be done way faster.

I am skeptical about their infiltration abilities, tbh, also Force prescience should put a stick in the wheel of their plans.

Given the anti infiltration abilities of the Old Republic???? The Cylons will do just fine. The Jedi could not even detect a Sith Lord running the show. They won't notice a few Cylons on a planet full of weird ass aliens.

Edit:

On the Star Trek Front the Galactica and Pegasus will allow the US to really explore the Solar System to a much greater extent than they could in the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Any Soviet Nukes would get No Selled fast by Vipers. So no Soviet Nuke Bombers in the early 50s and not a chance of Soviet ICBMs in the 60s.

They could not detect Sidious because he was actively clouding their abilities to sense him and to see the future.
Sidious himself foresaw the Vong and his own death, as well as the success of his plans against the Old Republic Jedi.

The Cylons are bringing a knife to a gunfight.

Not exactly correct. The Wills showed Yoda what was literally about to happen in an Episode of the Clone Wars. But Yoda refused to act on it.
