That's the exact reason why some on the left DON'T approve.
Black women especially seem to be against black men race mixing.
Although, really the only argument against race-mixing is "racial purity" and... that tends to be a bad thing historically.
I mean, not sure if you're aware of this, but it can bring various genetic disorders out of two otherwise healthy parents, cause issues with tissue transplants, a lack of belonging to any particular community, etc.
There's many real arguments against it, but ultimately the choice is between two loving people, and nobody else's.

You know me that there many things are on case by case look. Some probably are out of hatred, others self-hatred and others probably are gullible or naive to believe in a 100% mixed race future.
This despite inter-ethnict conflicts, prejudice and ACTUAL cases of racism show no sign of stopping from Cape Town to Papua New Guinea.
I do believe in interfait and/or inter-racial relationships being possible, but it's only Europe and North America that are happen to be "happy islands" that promote this because trust me the average indigenous Emirate doesn't want his sons or daughter to marry a Nigerian no matter if Muslim or not, and likewise its the same.
@ThatZenoGuy @evilchumlee by the way guys, while I sometime post stuff about political correctness here when it revolves around videogaming, the Woke Franchises thread is much more appropriate in my humble opinion.

In the end, i'm white and my fiance is white. Just how it happened. I've always been open to anything.
Race is largely irrelevant to me. I was far more concerned we aligned on religious (or lack thereof) and political (non-extremist either way) lines.

Again, while I do post about political correctness, I don't think a thread of gaming is the most appropriate to discuss interracial or not relationships and the pushing by liberal progressive "creators".
Outside of inbred populations to begin with (hybrid vigor), there kinda isn't.

Well I'm not going to bother looking up ads from "a few years ago" but I'm sure if we look up the top romantic comedies or something, it'll still be reflective of the same patterns. White Guys in Hollywood films and ads be sticking their penises in everything (metaphorically speaking).
I think internet pornography memes might be skewering your perception of things. Ads and Media have been growing more diverse, but there's no 90% of interracial relationships depicted in media as being Black Men and White Women.
The remake replaces a bunch of scientists with women scientists. Because of course it does. Authentic remakes are icky. We live in an eternal present.

Yeah, in 2003, when the game is set in, it is kinda absurd to have a shitload of female scientists running around.
Yeah the fact Half Life had a Woman Scientist direct Gordon Freeman through the hazard course was very disturbing for many gamers in 1998. It's also amusing that Gina Cross and *checks* Colette Green were female scientists and shown in Half Life Decay which came out only a few years later.
I don't recall if Judith Mossmans background from Half Life 2 was involving her working at Black Mesa but regardless she was competing with Gordon for a position there so it's clear they hired Women scientists at the time. Who knew 1998 was so accommodating to the sexes.
Black Mesa is more then a direct remake anyways. It added lots of new stuff though most of the changes are small. I also totally forgot it had Women scientists in it until now and now I can just barely remember it vaguely in context I think.
But yes very woke lol. Women Scientists. My God indeed!

The game was released in 1998, the game takes place at an unknown period in the early 2000's, ie '200-' as depicted in the game materials IIRC.

Black Mesa was never intended to be a direct pound-for-pound remake of the original.
I'm pretty sure Half-Life is set in non-descript 2000-something.
