Notes:
The origins and early years of the man known as James Howlett are shrouded in mystery, legends and rumors. The first official record of the subject appears in 1914, when he volunteered to join the Canadian Army at the start of the First World War. His natural combat ability and language skills resulted in his assignment to an secret intelligence unit known as Force X. The documents and files relating to his actions as part of Force X are still highly classified, if they still exist at all. It was during this time that he earned the nickname "Logan", for reasons unknown. As well, he was married to an mutant woman known as Raven Darkholme during this time, though official records concerning her are very scarce, even more so than James Howlett. There exists a single record of their divorce in 1928, the only other official record of Raven Darkholme, who would later be identified while operating under the code name Mystique. More information on her can be found in Special File#003X.
Records of the subject disappear in 1918, and his activity during the 1920s and 1930s are only described in rumors and legends. However, there is concrete evidence of him having lived in Japan during this time, in a small village on the island of Hokkaido. The next official record of James Howlett occurs in 1939, when he reenlisted in the Canadian Army upon the outbreak of the Second World War. Owing to his previous service, the subject was assigned to a special joint Canadian-US commando unit known as the Devil's Brigade. Records of his service during World War II are highly classified, even more so than his WW1 service record. Rumors abound about secret Nazi bases, UFOs, and an attack on HYDRA leadership, though none of this information has ever received official confirmation from the Canadian or US government.
James Howlett returned to the village in Hokkaido, Japan after the war and married a Japanese woman named Itsu. She bore him a single son named John in 1949, who appears to share his father's regenerative healing ability and retractable bone claws, though the claw arrangement is different. Please see File#978X for more details on the individual known as John Howlett.
The subject has been spotted multiple times at the mutant haven known as Genosha in Madagascar after it's establishment in 1960, though his primary residence is still a Japanese village on the island of Hokkaido. In the 1970s, number of high profile assassinations attracted his attention and the attention of S.H.I.E.L.D. as wounds found on the bodies of victims were caused by adamantium claws similar to his own. Though extensive resources have been dedicated to the hunt for this mysterious killer, we still know very little about her beyond some basic information. For more information on the subject known as Sieglinde von Alder (Jägerin) see Special File#009X.
James Howlett is cooperating with us in capturing the Jägerin and he is currently on the hunt for this elusive assassin alongside S.H.I.E.L.D forces.
His son John Howlett is also assisting us with capturing the Jägerin, though unlike his father he is working for S.H.I.E.L.D as a private military contractor.

In case you haven't noticed, ITTL Wolverine's son John (ITTL's Daken who's named after James's deceased older brother John) is a "good" guy, while his clone daughter Sieglinde von Alder (ITTL's Laura Kinney) gave in to the evil and now works as a assassin for hire after breaking out of the facility she was created.
And Itsu isn't assassinated by Bucky either, so John is raised by both his parents. Itsu later died from illness in 1977.
Aside from that the physical appearances and abilities of John and Sieglinde are exactly the same as Daken and Laura, aside from different hairstyles, outfits, and other cosmetic stuff.
