This is going bizarre places. I don't think anyone's ever tried to define world policeman as "tries to change other countries into lesser copies of itself." before. If we look at the standard definition from the link upthread:

Nothing about this sudden odd requirement for turning other nations into themselves. Even then the argument rather fails, f'rex Prince Gong's Palace was so influenced by the many missionaries and courtiers sent over that it's architectural style has been called "Jesuit Baroque." Indeed at the Boxer rebellion the demand given to :

"Take away your missionaries and your opium and you will be welcome."

Literally the missionaries were higher on the list than opium was, because of exporting of European culture.
