What If? Your Avatar to the Rescue.

Because it's the One Ring. And because it's funny! ;)
First off, the one ring had never exhibited such power, it slowly corrupted people it had direct contact with.(Going by the movies here, since I can't stand Tolkien.)
And second, it only affects humans or other humanoids, not tech.
And Sisko managed to withstand Elder energy being mind fuckery, so I doubt it will work on him.

Personally I'd just point to point teleport it into the Warp core or the nearest star.

Well Sisko and the gang have many options for getting rid of the One Ring.
1: Chuck it into the Sun.
2: Chuck it into Venus
3: Chuck it into Jupiter
4: Chuck it into Uranus
5: Chuck it into Neptune
6: Dump it into Alpha Centauri
7: Find a random black hole and chuck it in.

All of which would royally screw over Sauron.

Could just use Transporter Code 14, which destroys any object it's used on. Granted it's theoretically possible the ring is immune to having its atoms dispersed somehow.
Hense why sending the Ring to a place even Sauron can't access is the best option. He may be powerful and have powerful minions. But I think diving into the heart of a Star's thermonuclear center is a bit above their paygrade.

Except doing so might still doom the Middle Earth to Sauron's dominion. We simply do not know.

Ring has to be destroyed, meaning transporting it to the Cracks of Doom is really the only option.

That depends no one has ever tried to use Treknobabble against Sauron before. And weapons yields in the range of what the Defiant can do have never ever ever been attempted against him. I Quantum torpedo strike might put out enough energy to literally Yeet him out of existence.

Sauron is a metaphysical being. Quantum torpedo strike would destroy his body for certain, but unless they somehow figure out how to make torpedoes literally affect souls, that is all it would do, and he would simply wait some time and regenerate his body later - as he had done multiple times at that point.

Given half the stuff both Miles and Bashir have pulled out of their asses. I would not be shocked if they could modify a Torpedo to do that. It also begs another question. Can Sisko convince the Prophets to imprison Sauron? Since no matter where Sisko is they always pop in on him from time to time. They might intercede if asked.

I doubt Prophets' abilities are multiversal. As for torpedo doing that, I doubt it - not if they are playing by Lord of the Rings standards, because Star Trek is fundamentally atheistic work and all the "divine beings" are basically metaphysical aliens.

Geocentric fantasy cosmology says "Hi." The Sun is an airship built around a big lamp made from a fruit and piloted by a woman who is on fire. The other stars and planets are small lamps. Black holes are not a thing at all.

Also, transporters should not work since they operate on the destructive copier principle and the One Ring is indestructible outside its forge. Plan shuttlepod is still an option, but it's the only one so far.

Please tell me Tolken didn't come up with that as his cosmology? That sounds retarded. And I am a fan of the Hobbit Series and the Lord of the Rings.

He did, although he was unable to decide whether Earth really was flat and then made into a planet, or that was just a myth told by the Numenoreans and Earth had been round all along.

Early flat Arda:

Later possibly spherical planetary Arda:

And I see no reason why everything has to be sci-fied.

In this scenario the ROB is taking your Avatar and sending it on a few missions in the Multiverse. Here are the missions.

1: NBSG. Your Avatar appears 1 week before the fall of Caprica. It's mission is to either warn the Human Fleet of the impending Cylon Attack or Neutralize the Cylon Skin jobs in the fleet.

2: The Lord of the Rings. Your Avatar appears just before the fellowship of the ring is formed. Your Avatars task is to protect Frodo and help him get the Ring to Mount Doom. Brownie points if you bump off Saurons forces along the way.

3: Terminator 3. Your Avatars mission is to stop Judgement Day. All tactics are fair.

4: A Quiet Place 2. Your Avatars mission is to help humanity stop the Alien monsters. Your Avatar arrive one week before they do.

5: Jeepers Creeper. Your Avatar must find a way to help defeat the Creeper.

6: The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad. Your Avatar must help Sinbad and his crew get the Magic Lamp for the wizard in order to restore the Princess to normal size. Or do so by other means.

7: Clash of the Titans. Your Avatar must find a way to defeat the Kraken. All tactics fair.

Your Avatar will act like they normally do and will approach the situation from that perspective. However in extraordinary situations they can bend their normal morals to get the job done. Your Avatar will also have access to all the gear and equipment they normally have by act of ROB up to and including a Base of operations. And if your Avatar is a vehicle or ship they will have whatever named crew they would normally have doing the mission. So what does your Avatar do in each of the missions? Can they make a difference?

Edit: If your Avatar is Gigantic the ROB will scale it down to the size of Legendary Godzilla.
1: Admittedly I know little of Battlestar, but Zeno does have access to a ship with FTL and can speak. So...Hopefully he's got this in the bag?
2: Zeno can completely and utterly obliterate anything short of literal magic, even the trolls wouldn't be much of a problem as depicted in the film. As long as Frodo can get his ass to the volcano, Zeno's got this EASY. A very significant chance Zeno tries beating up Sauron if only to get his helmet because it looks cool.
3: Judgement day was inevitable. X_X He can't stop it. Even if he kills off every single person even THINKING of making a super AI in the universe some random dude will build one out of a microwave and blender and the cycle continues.
4: Well as the creatures canonically are strong enough to handle an exploding planet and countless years of space exposure, he's going to have issues with this. If he gets his ship he can just throw the asteroid into the sun.
5: No way in hell the Creeper can seriously harm Zeno, but on the flipside the Creeper is pretty horrifying and seems destined to always revive. Zeno might be able to just eat the thing? Can it survive being torn apart from the atomic level?
6: Seeing as Sinbad figured it out himself, Zeno can only help in this regard.
7: Oooooh yeah Zeno's not going to be able to handle the Kraken. Outside of orbital strikes with starship, Zeno loses this one hard.

Just A, single Scooby Snack?

Being a little cheap there 🤨, I've gotten entire boxes for less.

With the power of toon-force there's a good chance Scooby could actually handle a few of OP's challenges if he gets enough snacks.

Additionally as Scooby's 'equipment' is comprised of a team of people the whole gang might be included.

When it comes to the One Ring, I think the Emperor would essentially crush it in the palm of his hand.

Well he could try.
But I think the likely result of that would be the Ring simply glowing brighter and brighter, while the pull it was exerting on hi mind grew stronger.

Either that or go on a gentle stroll into Mordor himself to drop it off in the Crack of Doom.

Gentle strolling not-recommended! No, you want Empy to sprint to the Sammath Naur and fling it in ASAP, before he loses the mental battle that would have begun from the moment he first touched the Ring, and Sauron gets a handsome new avatar.
Mind you, if Sauron took over the Imperium while wearing Empy as a skinsuit, would anyone notice anything different?
(Besides the extra nine primarchs of course)

I think destroying the Creeper on the atomic level will permanently end it's reign of terror.
