People are far too use to comfort nowadays to the point they try and hide their problems under piles and piles of excess. Only way anyone will care about such abominable cases of abuse like this is if somehow one finds a way to force people to look at the problem. Problem with that is, it's violating their rights to force them into it as well. People have far too many ways out of problems now.

You'll be surprised at how much shit a company can get away with if the product is good, see Nike, Apple and many others as prime examples. Only reason story-based industries such as comics are hit so bad by it is because the narrative directly ruins the product, while a shoe or phone? Not so much.

The technology and diagnostic protocols don’t exist yet; differential diagnosis by a psychiatrist specializing in sexual dysfunction was extremely effective.Assuming such a diagnostic protocol is ever developed it could be substituted of course.

Nobody knows. Arguably nobody can know. Child transitioning is superficially brilliant because it means most masculinization doesn’t happen. That’s where this comes from. But there’s increasing evidence that transsexuality is hard to diagnose before the age of twenty because of the fluidity of the mind during development. Children may experience superficially similar but transitory impulses that go away naturally. The risk of misdiagnosis and negative consequences from not having a normal male puberty is so high that it can’t really be justified, as much as that will directly cause pain and suffering for true transsexuals.
