Given how much you and the military seem to be gung-ho for war with China in the next 10 years, I fully expect any collapse will involve the US getting into a nuclear conflict with China.

I think a limited war is possible. War doesn't automatically escalate to nuclear exchange. Not that I am eager to find out.
realistically, there are several outcomes radioative craters I think are incredibly unlikely.
an economic depression caused by Bidens incompetance is very likely though.

Shooting and getting shot at might seem just like the fun and games you see on TV or play in video games when you're off duty.
The getting shot part of the reality sucks. I'm certain you do not want to know what it's like to go home without all of your fingers and toes?
Or to even fear that that they might not be there when you wake up? I know the latter from personal experience due to an accident when I was 14.
When me, and the SGM I work with (25 years she has, multiple deployments) both want it, because we didn't sign up to be a paperpushing army.
I fear some of the warmongers may decide they cannot allow the US to collapse without firing the nukes in a 'use them or lose them' type mindset.
Though, you do have a point; we won't get nuke craters due to a first launch against us by the CCP, because DC it too bought by the CCP to actually stand up to them to the level of provoking a nuclear exchange.
You do not seem to get that the wars you monger for are the excuses they use to violate the Constitution.

The military doesn't break the constitution. Agencies the military hates, like the CIA, FBI etc do.
The only one we like is NSA and DIA, because we work closely with them.

Now you see why the Founder's didn't want a standing Army; a standing Army will always be looking for reasons and excuses to exercise it's power, for reasons justified or not, and will interfere with domestic politics to try to get the wars it wants to justify itself.
How about you remember the US military exists for the sake of our nation, not the other way around, and stop trying to get more lives wasted and more money burned in conflicts just to keep our edge 'sharp'.

No. You should have a very good idea of what might happen to you when shit gets real and be prepared for the suck which comes after because you won't be whole even if you escape the bullets with no physical injuries.
