United States Biden administration policies and actions - megathread

Hmm.

Maybe the article's quoting selectively, but I can't help but find the lack of some important keywords in the quoted statements—such as "investigation" or "accountability", both of which I know these people are normally fond of—deeply troubling. At the end of the day, the authorities are responsible for what happens, and if they're entrusted with that kind of job, consequences should (but in practice, probably won't) reflect that.

what is this? can you eat it?

oh and also "we stated that the taxpayer will pay compensation to the harmed individuals, this is more or less the same as accountability." - govt

As I said, buzzwords they love to overuse, but rarely ever put into practice.

It's like more practically-minded people say: "Talk is cheap, but a record means something." (Except, of course, for the fact they're all too happy to talk, and all too reticent to establish a record. They'll regret placing so little emphasis on the latter, I fear, as will we all once the system finally buckles. :()

Looks like schools are getting some heavy pushback over Bathroom and anti-grooming bills. The Biden Administration's new rules will withhold funding from schools that don't embrace and actively teach LGBT ideology. This includes all funding, such as the school lunch programs, pell grants, and many others. It also provides criminal penalties for things like not allowing students to use the bathroom of their choice or for a school staff member failing to use preferred pronouns. The rules will also require schools to allow people who identify as female to participate in women's sports.

Im actually not angry any more at this point I'm curious what will be the thing that will be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Just how much can the grill bois and soccer moms take and when will they finally snap. I have a store of popcorn waiting for that day.

Provided schools actually take a stand this is actually a good thing. Not only would we get push back on the insane policies, but we'd also get a shrinkage in gov't spending and size.

And now we get to see states tell the FedEd to shove it.
Let me fix this for you
[And now we see all the schools in the nation doing what the feds said. as usual]

"A Yahoo! News Survey conducted by YouGov "

Money quote. It doesn't say who they were surveying in regards to D/R/I.

The poll was conducted from May 19 to 22 among 1,573 adults and had a margin of error of +/-2.8 percent. Among those surveyed were 1,369 registered voters.

...

Looks like a quick internet poll or something.

I'm willing to call it completely worthless and only noteworthy because all of the other polling has dems getting crushed.

Public schools are very much dependent on the federal teet for funding.

They'll go along with this.
