Yeah, thing was supposed to be armed to the teeth. No canon sources but it must be at least Omega class weapons, probably in my opinion particle canons too.

The main reason I'm working to put B4 in this AU is because I really, really like seeing things explode in awesome fashion. B4 will make that happen :p

All 5 of the Babylon Stations were really something to see. had they survived...

I like to think the basic designs were used later as the basis for future generic stations out in the colonies Gundam style :)

Well, this is as close to the concept we'll ever likely get. So...

Jesus Babylon 1 was a monster...

If correct, yes it was the biggest in terms of size, but was so lightly armed it made Babylon 5s early anemic weapons look grand by comparison. At least before her upgrade. But the true gem of the Babylon stations was Babylon 4. Counter Rotating sections to give a Planet like Gravity, the most advanced weapons and Defenses the EA had at the time. The Largest Star Fury squadrons. Everything refined and pimped out to the 9s.

Then she went online and 24hrs later she vanished.

I guess because the others all blew up they decided to build B4 as strong as possible, full military grade materials and the ability to move just in case. Then it vanished :p
Someone somewhere in the EA must have been pissed beyond words

The howls of indignant rage across the alliance fleet must have been what woke the Shadows.

Worse actually. With previous Babylon iterations they were able to salvage much of the lost station bits and was able to use that in the next iteration. But after the loss of B4...they had to rebuild it completely from scratch.

I thought that the Omegas actually had Particle Beam weapons in their revolutionary weapon mount. Its what they have according to EFNI.org, I mean I know that canon states that the have heavy lasers, but the beams are too slow to be lasers. Maybe it could be something unique to the Omega Alphas used during the Earth-Minbari War but the following Omega models had Particle Beams?

Babylon 4 was the largest of the Babylon Staions which is said in the show so that can be taken as Canon. As to Sinclair/Valen you would think even if he had to let things play out in the Time line. That he would at least try an give Earth a helping hand some how so they don't get their A$$ handed so badly by the Minbari. A range some tech of some kind that could let Earth last a little long in battle against the Minbari Fleet tobe found on plant. Or a ship abandoned a drift in the Sol System just floating about filled with tech like anti-grav, sensors, and weapon tech.

Closest I could find on what any of the ones looked like.

Apparently he tried to leave clues and warnings and as Valen attempted to leave prophecy and instructions for the Grey Council telling them not to take that journey and to seek careful contact. But everything he tried was intercepted by the Vorlons, they had a vested interest in making sure the timeline didn't deviate so needed the war to happen.
He rebelled and in the end turned his back on the Vorlons presumably learning their true nature same as everyone else did later, but they still screwed him over mostly.

the CGI guys considered it to be a plasma stream so I guess thats why it doesn't act much like a laser, but I'm not sure it ever gets called that in the show. Same guys who defined those huge chin guns as gigaton energy mine launchers. Very nice.

I mean, a particle beam using heavy particles like Cesium, pulsed, would get a similar effect to what's seen in the show. The website Atomic Rockets has a quite lovely and very long article on the subject of energy weapons, which includes particle beams.

It is a good website, especially when planning relatively low tech sci fi shows. Expanse, B-tech etc.
Ultimately my aim is to stick with canon even if there is some differences regarding visuals. I'm not too concerned with exactly how a weapon works, only that it does :)

What about that one race that followed Valen's words like he was a God. That they were expelled from the Army of Light for attacking other races. Tho not Allied with the Shadows but they did not help in the fight against them. I sure if Valen asked that a ship or something else. Was to makes way to a Star System that had a developing Race. That he said was key to stopping Shadows in a 1000 Years, I'm sure they would see that it was done as he asked. And him just leaving a few clues for the Gray Council, Cast Elders, or the Rangers. Those Clues had to be pretty damn vague for them not to take.
