So what do you guys think of Ancaps? i personally think their ideals are a little unrealistic but their nowhere near as unpleasant deal with as ancoms.

Reminds me of college, they were going on about how constantly great it all was and how humanitarian it’d all be because you’re investing in poor businesses a continent away and getting them employed

I think in some ways those corporations making use of all those activists types are in a way, using them as a possible weapon against possible competition

Because, let’s face it, they’ll have lots of customers regardless of alienating a good portion of them or that’s just not something they think would occur

Even if they don’t get more people, other people will be possibly bogged down, keeping them from possibly competing

Amazon banning Light Novels will lose them some money yes, but not enough to ruin them and they’ll possibly get points with those they embrace

Though, there’s a point, those activists can’t really think themselves the masters of those companies able to dictate stuff that may affect the company too much

Ford isn’t stopping itself from making and selling cars for law enforcement to use even after calls to do just that

And sometimes you don't even need to use overwhelming force or to buy out all the competition or already be way richer than said competition

You can get some people to see you and a select few as possible saviors, say that you need to establish a government even a small one

Being AnCap also doesn't stop you from disliking other people being allowed to buy and sell things

Imagine a revival of a "Religious Right" coming in to destroy the local casino with the support of a local "community"who go on about how IMMORAL it is and how it has no right to exist

They start off with trying to stop it from being around this neighborhood, then say it can't exist near any place to begin with

And the "NAP" or "Non-Aggression-Principle" has the problem in that "Aggression" can be defined even as stuff that enrages a person on sight

Honestly, yeah, there has to be some government left to even hold things like a military in existence and to ideally be a neutral third party

What AnCaps want is Plutocracy. Or maybe a sort of cross between Plutocracy and Feudalism.

The plan for stopping a warlord from imposing a new government is for all his potential soldiers to already be happily employed in private security, or something like that. So basically there would already be warlords, in economic and military competition with each other.
Until one of them defeats all the others and becomes the Grand Nagus.

Like all the other forms of anarchism. Either they have an authoritarian force to keep the communes or w/e in line, in which case they don't really have anarchism, or they immediately collapse into warlordism and proto-states competing with each other.
