The point is that the modern United States is a "service economy". The only thing we domestically produce is a constantly hyperinflating fiat currency.
Look, there are simpler ways to say 'I don't know anything about the US economy.'
There's tons of stuff that's still produced domestically, the reason that we're a 'service economy' is because the emphasis changed, not because we don't actually manufacture anything anymore.
