Because people who study debates and polls for a living all say Trump won. That is why. You could do a wide google search for there commentary you know.
You keep acting like it was a level playing field, like Wallace and Biden would have actually debated Trump instead of attacking him or dismissing him.
That it was stacked against him or how Biden simply dismissed many of Trump's attempt at actual debate with "he doesn't know anything" or "thats a lie" does not seem to matter to you.

The fact you are even taking CNN seriously at all is slightly odd, given thier known bias and bullshit.
The fact is, Trump did what he wanted to and got Biden on record coming out against the GND, defunding cops, and his non-answer about SCOTUS packing. That was Trump's main goal, and we've even discussed that before.
So I, and others, are delusional for actually understanding the cards were stacked against Trump, that a 'debate' as you wanted was never going to happen, and calling out CNN's BS?

I honestly don't think Wallace would have jumped in like that, had Trump not debated the way he did.
I think Wallace started out with honest intentions to moderate the debate, and just ended up getting pissed at Trump and stepping in.
I'm hoping next time Trump let's Biden actually speak and dig his own holes.
Trump is many things. A good debator is not one of them. If he WAS a good debator, Wallace would have never got away with calling Critical Race Theory "racial sensitivity training."
I can't call it a win. My real life anecdotal evidence aligns with the polling information. I know several fence sitters or reluctant Trump supporters, who have decided they are just sitting this election out.

I told you guys that debate was a fucking mess and a mistake. I know a few people personally who were going to vote Trump and decided they aren't, after that embarrassment of a debate.
I'm sure many of you loved him being a belligerent bully instead of actually debating ideas. But the majority of the public, myself included, did not.
Trump lost that debate by interrupting 145 times and not actually debating.

If the Dems lose then there may actually be a split in the party. The establishment types will hopefully get rolled by young up and comers like Gabbard and Yang I would hope. And they will try to bring things back to centre.
