People need to stop focusing their lives on some "greater good" and start off with making themselves happy
That's antithetical to the activist raison d'etre. If every form of injustice in the world ceased to exist, they would need to invent them to give themselves a reason to live.

(Of course that's just the footsoldier, the controllers have far more sinister motives).

I remember some saying about a man who wanted to change the world, he found he couldn’t do it so he went from the world, to his country, to his state, to his city, to his neighborhood and to his family

The more he went down, the more he found he couldn’t change things and they even rejected him

So in the end, he could only change himself

Problem is, these “activists” actually DO get support from the powers that be and other individuals and groups and are near-immune to criticism. So they can’t get self awareness either.

Secular humanists like George Soros have done a great job fooling people into thinking that the fact that he is ethnically Jewish matters in any way, shape, or form to any action he has ever taken in his life.

People shit on Ayn Rand, I wonder how much they'd shit on her if they knew she was Jewish but non-religious

Hell, I wonder how much people would praise Karl Marx if they knew he was a racist and anti-semite and essentially a proto-NAZI minus the nation loving part

For a lot of hard leftists, Marx fills the role of 'religious prophet,' and is no more subject to questioning or criticism than Muhammed is in Islam.

For those who aren't completely lost in the madness, leaning about Marx's real character might be a wake-up call.

Thing is, I think the Far Left relies on removing most history rather than truly simply rewriting it all

Marx’s life is always out in the open and people who don’t like him actually bother to learn about him if only to better destroy him

They have to know these sort of programs infuriate people. Treating whites as second class citizens(which this pretty much explicitly does) is designed to not only humiliate but also enrage.

But most will tolerate it simply to keep their job.

Personally I would absolutely refuse to participate in these racial self abnegation rituals.

It’s putting a choice on people-self respect vs a paycheck.

Will they even be paid for this stuff?

“The U.S. officially has its first colored vice presidential candidate. More coming up after the game on Newsradio WTAM 1100 Cleveland."

He of course made a full apology for his "offensive" remark. But he's still fired.

WARNING: THE AUDIO IS DEEPLY OFFENSIVE AND MAY TRIGGER PTSD IN COLORED PEOPLE

Looks like BLM tried (and failed) to cancel Ford Motor Company supplying vehicles to the police last month.

Good on Ford saying no to that. It would have been a stupid business decision, because it's not like stopping their program would have actually stopped police departments from getting vehicles.

Because it's not like the other 5+ other car companies with plants in the US would refuse to sell to the police. It might take a bit longer to ship, or to add any upgrades for the police's needs, but Ford saying no would have just caused the police to go to another manufacturer.

Columbia University Band Disbands Itself after 116 Years

Columbia University’s marching band has reportedly self-cancelled.

According to the Ivy League college’s newspaper, The Columbia Spectator, the infamous troupe said in a letter that it voted to disband after a Saturday meeting to address anonymous Facebook posts accusing band members of misconduct.

“The Band has maintained a club structure founded on the basis of racism, cultural oppression, misogyny, and sexual harassment,” the letter read. “While substantial efforts have been made in recent years toward undo-ing decades of wrongdoing, we as a Band feel ultimately that it is impossible to reform an organization so grounded in prejudiced culture and traditions.”

The letter from the band, which had a reputation for pulling pranks, said: “The current Band hopes that the Band’s dissolution will provide relief to the present suffering of the Columbia community and time to heal from the decades of harm caused by this organization.”

I've seen a couple different takes on this event, the most common being either:

1) The Columbia University marching band has a tradition of utterly tasteless pranks (e.g., phallic formations on field) that have upset Administration for decades—most recently (2019) leading to a withdrawal of Athletic Deptartment funds AND a ban from all official functions including athletic events—and the disbanding is sarcasm with a cleverly written PC veneer, or

2) Columbia University marching band really are true believers in the contents of the letter (more likely IMO).

Daily Mail with more interesting details:

But the band has courted controversy through the years, gaining a permanent ban from performing at West Point in 1972 after performing what it called a "burning Cambodian village" on the military college's football field.

The marching band also earned a 10-year ban from Fordham University in 2002 after the band joked that Fordham's tuition was "going down like an altar boy" during the pre-game show.

I miss college humor, another institution ruined by the usual crybabies.

The Daily Mail article includes more of the letter than most reports, including details that make you think maybe the band is being sarcastic and hoodwinking Admin.

Final Note from Columbia U's paper:

Steve Greenfield, CC ’82, a former drum major for the band, expressed his disdain for this shift in opinion on the band’s Sept. 2 statement condemning its actions. Greenfield claimed that any new iteration of the band would not have the same “irreverent” spirit of the version that has existed for the past century.“The band is gone, and if and when it returns, it will be exactly what the corporations bankrolling Ivy League sports specifically because Ivy League sports is an essential establishment power identification and training system, want it to be.”

:ROFLMAO: "establishment power identification and training system?" The marching band? Whatever, doofus.

I guess David Hume, one of the greatest philosophers, classical economists and intellectuals of his time or really any time is too distressimg for modern academia sensibilities.
I guess we can no longer name things after people, since norms and values are so mercurial.

"There stands pine tree tower, for it is tall and strong as a tree"
"You monster, trees kill thousands of people every year."
"...Fuck!"
