That's actually more useful than you think, If you have an appliance that works with one countries plug and have appliance that works with another plug then you can use a cord with two different plugs to plug one side into the socket then another into a normal extentsion cord. Now you can use your device.

Frankly the only thing China might be doing positive (but most likely with a Chinese-characteristic so it is a wait and see but I have no trust on them) is proposing to de-dollarize or help to de-dollarized some economies, with the most notable member of this project after them being Saudi Arabia of all countries, Brazil also talked about it and it is or was in the sphere of the US...surprise they haven't done anything or shown regret they hadn't backed Bolsonaro who yes made deals with the PRC but kinda cautiously.

I liken the Chinese economy to the most skilled game of Jenga ever, it's impressive as hell that it got as far as it did but it's going to fall.
