Meme's are not the same as reality, and being commies in no way means the CCP cannot tactically or strategically plan long or short term.
Points at the one child policy. Points at killing all the Sparrows in their own Country. Point's a whole empty cities they built that are literally crumbling into dust. Points at picking a ground fight with India then getting their ass handed to them this very year. The jury is end. They are very much idiots.

Says a lot about the U.S. then, since they have a higher GDP by purchasing power parity, doesn't it?

I think you mistake what we are saying. We stating that they are idiots is not us underestimating them. It is us saying when we do fight them we brutally crush them Militarily with no Quarter and no Mercy at all shown. You put the fear of God in them that makes them never want to try that foolishness again. Remember only two wars in all of History the US did not hold back on an enemy. One was World War II and the other was Desert Storm. All others was the US holding back.

Which is irrelevant to the initial argument of them being completely incomptent, no?
No, it isn't.

If a nation with a four times the population of another nation, is see-sawing back and forth on whether or not its economy is as strong, a little stronger, or a little weaker, trying to claim that nation's economic strength is proof of its competence is nonsense.

If the Chinese leadership's competence was even close to that of the US's over the last seventy years, which is a low bar in and of itself, then they wouldn't be competing for parity, the question would be whether they had double or quadruple our economic output.

But, as their steady destruction of Hong Kong's political and economic system proves, they are blinded by their delusional ideology and raging egos, and thus have barely a quarter of our per-capita economic output.

If that. Communist nations are notorious for lying about such things.

Ugh they should just ban the Chinese from playing games...

Oh wait... nevermind.

Life is Strange: True Colors is set in the town of Haven Springs, where a shop called Treasures of Tibet can be seen flying a Tibetan flag above its entrance. That flag is used a symbol of the Tibetan independence movement and is banned in mainland China, which is why it's become a source of complaint among Chinese players on Steam.

While its user rating remains Very Positive, the majority of its negative reviews are from Chinese players. "The game contains elements of Tibetan independence, implying a split of China", says one negative review, and "Tibet is a part of China", repeats another. According to a third, "Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Tibet have been Chinese territories since ancient times. No matter how the obsolete think, they will eventually return to the mainland.I suggest that NEETs read more books, stop being stupid, and find a job to support themselves.Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Tibet is part of China forever".

Previously, Chinese users review-bombed Devotion to a much greater degree for containing a hidden reference to a meme that compared Chinese president Xi Jinping to Winnie the Pooh. Similar incidents are not always politically motivated, however. Nier: Automata was review-bombed for lacking Chinese language support when it was released in Asia. Simplified Chinese is the most popular language on Chinese, and China represents Steam's second-largest market.

Chinese 'players' triggered by a Tibetan Flag in the game Life is Strange: True Colors. I guess... this could be an example of irony with a title like that?

Maybe just ban the Chinese from social media with a firewall... oh wait... nevermind.

Except they're not competing for parity, they're looking to surpass us. They already have in GDP (PPP) and essentially all estimates have them doing so in nominal terms by around the 2030s.

You're moving the goal-posts.

This is what you said:

"Says a lot about the U.S. then, since they have a higher GDP by purchasing power parity, doesn't it? "

My reply was that they have ~4 times our population, so that they're roughly at the same level for economic growth says bad things about them, not good. The fact that if their growth continues, they will surpass us, is not remotely impressive, and will not be unless they get to the point where they're exceeding us in per-capita GDP.

Which, given Xi Jinping is leading them back towards more orthodox communism and away from the dabbling with free markets that his predecessors had done, is very unlikely.

Yang Jiechi, a ChiCom Politburo Member and China's Top Diplomat, met with Democratic and Republican leadership at a virtual meeting. Some attendants including former DNC Chair and Democratic Presidential Candidate Howard Dean and Carla Hill, a former US Trade Reprensentative and Housing Secretary under the Ford Administration.

As Yang Jiechi stated:

South China Morning Post said:
“We hope the US government can correct their wrong policies towards China, and work with China to take positive steps to implement the consensus reached by the presidents of the two nations and push China-US relations back on the right track. The dialogue between Chinese and American political parties is very beneficial to enhancing mutual understanding and deepening dialogue and cooperation. It is hoped that the two parties in the United States and people of insight from all walks of life will continue to play a positive role in the development of relations between the two countries.”

This follows a 90 minute phone conversation between Joe Biden and Premier Xi as well as talks fostered by the US-China Business Council with the Chinese Ambassador to the US about negotiating implementation of Phase One Trade Deals

Exhibit A, starving tens of millions of their own people to death.

You are surely not incapable of recognizing different factions in the Party and you surely understand that post-1976 CCP reformed into fascist corporatism, instead of using orthodox marxist central planning methods. Even under Xi it's still the case. Do not underestimate Chinese economics by believing it to be as moronic as in the USSR.

Now, it's not as efficient as free markets can be, but still. Performance of India under remnants of the Nehruvian socialism and License Raj is no better. Nor is the current Western world as capitalist as it was once the case.

Xi seems to be consolidation over everything.
