Which probably explains why most of our planes and Navy are currently broke down for lack of parts and maintenance lol.
They're busy studying pronouns and CRT, they can't be bothered with wasting time on useless things like fleet maintenance.

Also the Navy has an 'officer cult' issue where they cannot pay well enough, or treat people well enough, to retain the enlisteds that make everything possible.
Turns out that fewer and fewer people are willing to put up with military life when civie pay is often better, the work hours are better, and the lifestyle is better.
VA loans and GI bills for housing and college don't mean nearly as much, in terms of incentives to join, as they once did.
Navy is horrible in thus regard compared to the rest

If we are talking about the maintenance issues and the like, it's actually equally horrible across all branches.
Not really.
I am IN the Army, and besides vehicles like the Humvee, and a few things on other vehicles, maintenance isn't that bad.
Especially in line units.

Army is utterly horrible, we actually have fewer combat ready BCTs now then we invaded Iraq with in 2003 lol. Likewise, if your support services are crippled, you're a paper tiger; all the tanks in the world don't mean shit if you can't keep them sustained with parts, fuel, and munitions.
