China's Trade War With Australia Backfiring With Rolling Blackouts Afflicting Country

Behold the economic superpower.

Bunch of retards.

And this is all after they signed a free trade agreement with Australia a while back proving that China's word is worth less than the paper that it is written on.

I'm curious how big a hit it would be to us to blockade iron ore exports to them. Because I'd be tempted to do it just to see the fuckers squirm. Let 'em know that there can be two sides in a trade war.

I never understood why Chinese nationalists feel a need to make shit up, the country has plenty of legit accomplishments they don't need to steal the accomplishments of others.
That was book of Dawid Menzies. In first he rtied to proof that Chineese discovered both Americas and Australia/which could be true or not/ in second, that they somehow get to Italy and their ideas started reneissance there.
And nobody wrote about chineese, becouse they thought that they are tatars./althought i never hear about tatars in Italy, too.Maybe expect tatar sauce/.
I still do not knew,if Menzies really belive it,or is just trolling everybody.

And they tried to blame all the Countries in Africa they were doing business with. Going as far as to kick them out of their Apartments in China. Yeah that really went over well in Africa when the news got back and the CCP officials there found themselves surrounded by Angry Black People.

I don't know about the Chinese but evidence that the Japanese made it to the west coast in ancient times is supported by relics and oral tradition of some Western Tribes.

Central kingdom mentality, everything good ever must have come from them and only them as everyone else is mouthbreathing troglodytes. So they must super compensate for 19th and 20th century to soothe their fragile egos.

but evidence that the Japanese made it to the west coast in ancient times is supported by relics and oral tradition of some Western Tribes.
Not during ancient times, but during early Tokugawa shogunate, before they turned isolationist.

It sounds like the Chinese electric grid has been on the edge for a long time. This matches my recollection of a National Geographic article on air quality in the 2010s, that something like half of the smog was people burning coal and wood in their homes during winter because they didn't have enough electricerty to heat their cities. I'm wondering how different this winter power shortage is from previous winter power shortages.

I imagine because this time the price rises in coal that have helped exacerbate the problem and lead to rolling blackouts even in Shanghai and Shenzhen are self-inflicted? They literally have 80 ships full of high quality coal sitting off the coast that could come in with their coal and instantly bring prices down and fuel the generators but they're leaving them out there because of CCP politics.

And the thermal coal that they 'are' using is lower quality coal that is more polluting, less efficient and more damaging to their power plants.

Sure, there's an additional angle of dick waving with Australia over coal, which is doubly stupid because Australia apparently isn't that dependent on selling coal to China anyways: according to ABC News Australia China only makes up some 16% of Australia's coal exports, which means it a relatively easy thing to tank for the Australians.

The fact that their going after coal, which is not their main leverage over Australia, suggests to me that the Australian issue might be a fake because. To engage in rank speculation, I recall reading that China was trying to move away from coal, due to pollution and other concerns. I could definately see it being preferable from the communist party's perspective to blame a shortage on Australia, rather than them winding down coal faster than their alternatives could get online. I've also heard that the Chinese coal industry was getting unhappy with foreign imports, so maybe a bit of basic protectionism justified by their qualm with Australia.

Or were seeing something more in line with normal operations, the Australian angle just made westerners pay attention to it. If most winters they're 50% under demand, and this year they're 55% under demand, with 1% the under demand being the coal fight with Australia.

Or there was an initial cynical fake because with the australians, but repeating it for 2 years at this point has turned the cover story into the real story.

But, all that's pretty rank speculation on limited data.

Yeah, but not everyone is saying that everyone is speaking a dialect of their language (China...), or that in prehistory they had astronauts and working space ships (India...). Honestly, I think a lot of this is a dick waving contest between China and India about who can make up the most ridiculous claim about their past to make up for being crushed by Europeans.

actually there is lots of evidence that english and many other languages have their orgins that are connected to india, indo european languages and all that. The space ship thing is probally false but if you squint their mythology does have scienfiction elements.

On the whole though indians tend to be a little more humble then the chinese.

The Chinese always claim they have the oldest civilization (6,000 years) even though a few cites in the Levant are around 15,000 years in age.

I once read fragments of Mahabharata, and it sometimes really looked like using super planes and A bombs.
Problem is - if somebody used A bomb even 5000 years ago, there would be some traces of that left. And superplanes during war mean wreckage,or at least part of it.Somebody should find at least parts.

Anything metal would be melted down and repurposed. People in the ancient world did a shit ton of recycling. Fun Fact the Pyramids of Giza use to have shiny outer stones. That all got stripped by the locals for building materials.

I think the most compelling argument against such ancient technologies is the fact that there were still exploitable surface sources of ores centuries ago, if there was 20th century tech level civilization 5000 years ago, then these sources would be long depleted.
