Crap. Someone did something stupid in Nashville

The bomb spent 15 minutes loudly telling people to evacuate with an automated broadcast before it exploded.

So no, it wasn't a random Meth Lab explosion.

And, like, most bombings in the US (for example, the Boston Bombing, and the Oklahoma City Bombing) it was probably Political.

Also, please don't joke about Meth Lab explosions. One of those killed the wife of a good friend of mine.

So... they were at a baby shower for a friend of theirs', and the neighbor's house exploded. And my friend's wife was the only person who died, she took a roughly 95MPH pressure vessel to the upper torso. It had to be a closed casket funeral, it utterly pulverized everything above her heart. It's... It fucking sucks. Now he's a widower with 2 small children to raise. Happened just two years ago now.

At least it was roughly instantaneous. She probably didn't have enough time to feel pain.

And, you know, at least she's Christian, so she's probably going to be OK up in heaven.... I'm sad. That's enough internet for today.

AT@T service is down in my area of the state. I heard there was a message blared, telling people to evacuate the area, apparently whoever did this didn’t intend to kill people. I’m using WiFI to be on the internet.

Maybe send a message or cause disruption. But we don’t know.

It seems though that some sort of message was intended, and this was an intentional act.

Yeah, that detail is super weird. It could be some sort of revenge on AT&T.
Or it could be someone who wants to get more lock-downs. The economic damage caused by the lock-downs is worse than anything since FDR.
 
It’s not really clear what the motive was. Apparently whoever did it didn’t want people to die. Given there was apparently some sort of recorded “evacuate now” message.

Of course those who died here do not matter,becouse they are no longer here.
 
I mean, thing is if you want to do an attack like this, you usually have some sort of indication via manifesto or loud speaker or whatever as to why.

Unless you just want to show you can.

But this sort of attack is intended to send a message, through both the shock of the event itself and the disruption it causes.

What message is being sent is what we don’t know.

Huh, that's a new twist. I don't think I've heard of any bombers doing that before, as opposed to calling it in to law enforcement and/or the media.

Back when I was training as an EMT and doing my first ride-along, the 911 crew I was riding with were called for medical backup for fire department hazmat securing a meth lab that had been located and *hadn't* exploded yet. We basically sat two or three blocks away praying they weren't going to need us -- the medics I was with were graphically honest about, "Kid, if it gets bad, it's going to get BAD and we're going to need all the hands we have, even a not-yet-certified trainee. Just stay with us and do EXACTLY what we tell you, and if any of the hazmat guys say run, drop everything and GO."

(Just to clarify for everyone: basic EMTs do not have the training or equipment to handle a hazmat scene. EMS ambulances are called to these scenes to handle secondary injuries, and stand by with the police outside the direct danger radius.)
 
This is a very strange one. The way it told people to evacuate with a recording unsettles me. There is something not right with this one.
