It's how Murkowski got/kept her place in Alaska; she was primaried out by the GOP and yet still won the seat as a write-in.

In the event the Dems actually are able to force MTG out of the next election via pushing her off the ballot via court fuckery, it will prove the divide is too deep and wide to bridge anymore.
