Not just in certain parts. Calling someone who was hired to do something like housekeeping a "house black" is going to irritate practically everyone within earshot who isn't a rabid racist.

I literally worked in the legal cannabis industry for years, so 'drug dealer' means literally nothing to me when talking about cannabis, and as far as I know, Snoop has never murdered anyone.

However, the fact you thought using 'house black' to describe Snoop at all would get anything but backlash and people telling you how ignorant and racist you are shows how little you actually understand about US society or about the sort of background Snoop has.

I was not kidding when I said calling someone that in certain parts of the US is likely to see you beaten, at minimum, and most DA's would not press charges over someone getting beaten for it, even if the police are called.

I was not kidding when I said calling someone that in certain parts of the US is likely to see you beaten, at minimum, and most DA's would not press charges over someone getting beaten for it, even if the police are called.

I agree that it's a horrid slur, but shooting someone over this is an extreme overreaction. Maybe a single punch, or even better, a verbal warning to go away followed by punches in case of non-compliance, coupled with a phone call to the police.

Ideally, yes.

In reality, anyone who would use that slur in the US, in-person, is likely KKK-friendly and would be an easy target for a DA to say 'there was no wrong done here except the slur', and they wouldn't even need to be particularly woke for that either.

My real issue with shooting someone for it is that bullets don't always stop in the target, and some uninvolved party behind the person using the slur shouldn't be subject to cross-fire.
