The US has no obligation to Mexico. As long as the Cartels can be destroyed in US territory and taught never to intrude into it, Mexico can deal with it's own problems.
It may be time to start taking the organ donor star off your driver licenses, unless you want certain medical professionals to prefer to harvest your organs, rather than render life saving treatment, even with visible signs of cognition.
I've been hearing from people who deal with some hospitals that if you have 'low survival odds', they go straight to organ harvesting instead of life saving treatment, and count on the person being dead/harvested before anyone can say otherwise, and that an organ donor sticker is as good as a 'DO NOT RESUSCITATE' bracelet or directive if the medical group involved feels the organs are worth more than saving the patient.

It's pretty low risk. At the point where you're avoiding donating your organs because you read about this one case where doctors nearly killed a guy (but stopped once they saw he was alive) to harvest his organs, you might as well stop driving because of automobile accident rates or stop drinking/smoking/eating meat because it could decrease your lifespan.

Isn’t this self defeating? You say it only works because they were weak and the fact that it worked shows they were weak. And that it won’t work in Mexico because they are still in power there.
I removed my organ donor status because there's no way in hell I'm enriching the medical industry...you know, the same one that doesn't actually give a shit about me.
Because El Salvador doesn't have cartels with 5p caliber weaponry and havnt had open firefights with the military and won

Yeah, a mass arrest will totally work on cartels when they open up on your vehicles with a 50.....
Doing either of those don't really work, when an entire sicario off shoot (I think sicario off shoot) were former Mexican SF...

Won't work, the public is too casualty averse and the President will be attacked as either an evil western imperialist (if he's Republican) or an evil neoliberal globalist (if he's a Democrat).
It's hard enough to just get both sides to collaborate on cracking down on domestic crime, let alone police actions on other states.

Made up figures asides, it doesn't matter. Nobody will sign off on it. "Proportional Response" is about as far as the US government will go, even if the generals beg on their knees to be allowed to carpet bomb all Cartel territory.
All it takes is a president going "Mexico, either you deal with the cartels or I will."
The president can activate troops for iirc 90 days without congress.
So, we could literally go "you have this time zone, after that I will have 9p days to start ir or end it, or both."
