Five minutes of hate news

Is this a secret LEGO ad?
Who else has played with legos and thinks "heterosexuality is the norm"?
Both those things are true for me...though, I don't know that I ever acknowledged the normality of heterosexuality whilst I was playing with Legos.

...The point of Lego, right at its goddamn founding, is that it was for everyone. Adult, kid, straight, gay, moosefuckers... It doesn't matter.

To try to claim it's anti-Groomers United is just their trying to gain victim points over nothing. Again.

Is it any wonder more and more people are looking at this movement and thinking, "yeah, you're all fucking nuts"?

The real shock is that nobody except you people cares, and you people only care because it makes progs on bluesky angry.

Geopolitics is a lot stupider than I thought.
It hasn't filtered to the normies yet. It's still far right conspiracy land.

But more and more Independents are covering it. People will care, but it'll take time for them to realize that it's not right wing fake news.

Of course, there will always remain a group of people who are more mad at the ones uncovering the fraud than they are at the fraud themselves. There's no helping or reaching those people. They're probably around 40% of the population.

Eh, not the craziest thing. Unlike Meth and Heroin, I know people who do Cocaine semi-regularly, but aren't actually what I'd call strung out addicts. It's just a thing done casually for them. They are pretty functional people, with pretty normal lives, who'd you never guess do cocaine.

And just like with alcohol, there are the addicts who are stuck on it and spend there bottom dollar on it.

I have been open about my drug using past.

So I'll share an anecdote.

I never got addicted to coke. I was like one of the people you mentioned above. Did it from time to time to have a good night.

As far as I recall, it doesn't cause chemical dependency. That's not a requirement for addiction, but it makes getting over said addiction a LOT harder.

Quitting alcohol was HORRENDOUS for me. I got sick, shakey, and should have been in a detox program because quitting cold turkey like that with alcohol is dangerous.

Plus I quit and relapsed like ten times. It was super hard to do. One of the hardest things i've done. Nearly 8 years off the shit these days. (2 months away from 8 years)

Coke? Ehh. I just stopped doing it.

So as far as the "no worse than whiskey" statement? I disagree because of the heart concerns, but I would say "worse in some ways, not as bad in some other ways"

I'm betting it's 10% or less. MSM is blowing up the outrage to try and make it look mainstream.

That's great man! I have family with addiction issues, and I've seen how that struggle can impact. Keep at it.

Good for you! Remember - one day at a time!
I'm around thirty years dry.
It gets easier over time :D
Congrats on quitting man! That's hard to do and shows a lot of mental toughness.
Thanks everyone, I appreciate that

???
After watching this lively song whose lyrics explore the deepest layers of the human soul

I cannot unhear/unsee Lego bricks representing kinky sex, as they are assembled by "pegging".

She seriously thinks NOW is the time to try to make a replacement for USAID?

Article:
The bill, introduced Friday by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), proposes the executive branch have a Department of Peacebuilding that aims to research, educate and implement initiatives like nonviolent conflict resolution and violence reduction into national and international policy.

so, litearlly USAID v2.0

Also, she is being given credit for it. but actually this is the 4th time this proposal is raised. It quietly failed the last 3 times. the last failure was in 2022 under biden.
(where it was totally redundant because it is litearlly just USAID 2, and they already had USAID)
