Florida (Man/Woman/Animal) News Thread

Ah this is a classic Florida Man story.

Not The Bee said:
Police received a report of a man crashing his car into multiple vehicles in a Lake County neighborhood, before crashing into a port-a-potty and a retention pond.
This wasn't even in response to being chased by the police. He was just out hitting other cars and running over a port-a-potty.

Then the police showed up.
Investigators say Flores ran into the marshland, where he was found by law enforcement officers responding to the scene.
Flores refused orders to come out of the marsh and when troopers entered to retrieve him, Flores held onto trees as they tried to pull him from the marsh.
As he was being removed from the marsh, Flores bit an officer on the arm, breaking the skin.

After Reminding the Special Olympics that their Vaccination Policies were in Violation of Florida's State Rules, the Special Olympics complied with the State of Florida instead of forcing their athletes and staff to being vaccinated, avoiding potential hefty fines if they proceeded.

When I was hospitalized for most of April and May with a nasty bone infection my COVID vaccination status wasn't even an issue.

EDIT: I was quaranteened for 10 days per Indiana state regulations in a SNF (nursing home/rehab facility with elderly residents). I needed 30 days of very expensive IV antibiotics. After the 10 days was over I could check myself out for a few hours to do whatever the fuck I wanted to do as long as I was back in time for the next dose ... which took 4hrs to infuse and were scheduled for 2AM, 10AM and 6PM.

Apparently a progressive activist group known as 'Florida Rising' is garnering donations meant for Hurricane Relief to fund Act Blue, the Democratic Parties main fundraising apparatus, partly no doubt to help perennial loser Charlie Crist win the Florida Governorship against the incumbent Ron DeSantis.

Kind of like when donations to Black Lives Matter literally went straight to Act Blue back in 2020 only now they're using Hurricane Disaster Relief as a cover instead.
