The israeli goverment knows if they weren't keeping their muslims down, their muslims would kill them as they've consistently made it completely clear they want to do. Therefore self-defense dictates their actions. The french goverment on the other hand, sees random jihadist terror attacks as irreverent to them since so far they've only targeted random citizens not leaders like themselves, and a useful opportunity to justify giving themselves more authoritarian powers. So they have no reason to keep them under control.
Give them time.
Remember those old charts comparing percentage of Muslims as population of a country to the political situation regarding them?
Israel is 18% Muslim if you don't count the Palestinians (who are the ones vast majority of the keeping down is done to), and if you did, that would be about 46%.
Meanwhile, France is estimated to be around 8-10%, heavily skewed towards the young (20-25% among newborn's names).
Well, also, the Muslims that have been moving to Europe in recent years are the ones too extreme in their Islam for their local Islamic State.
Also coming here to colonize and grift off of the west's welfare systems.
There could even be some combination there. The poor are of course quite likely to be religious, and the ME countries that aren't oil rich have little to no welfare state.
And yes, outright retardation covered by humanitarianism is in fact causing some western countries to consider Islamists "oppressed" and deserving of asylum on account of local governments being sick of that and "persecuting" them for it.

There was a Danish study, 70% or some similar massive number of theri welfare spending, which is a major portion of their government budget went to migrant welfare.
EDIT: Denmark Says Non-Western Immigration Cost State Nearly $5 Billion Per Year

Probably yes. He had some reasons to be pissed off at a symbol of the hated republicans(remember, the guy was raised by Louis XVI's daughter, which life had done no favours to), but I think he'd be at the very least more amenable to a compromise.

But the Orleanists would be much less likely to support Henry V's claim to the French throne if his successor will be a younger brother or nephew of his as opposed to being an Orleans prince, no?

Well, yes. Which brings us to the big problem with regards to French monarchists, they only desired the return of the monarchy if their candidate was the one sitting on the chair.... As an aside, I think that the Bourbon would have been spared a lot of grief if Louis XIV had shoved red-hot iron pokers down the ass of his younger brother to reinforce the point a king's son, even a bastard one, is not a target for molestation. But that is hindsight talking.

But then again, he has proved the military hate him.
The only way he will win is if Le Pen ir the Z guy split the vote

Off topic: found out Breyer is calling it quits.

Schumer & Co., will be super aggressive in rushing Biden's nominee to the US Supreme Court ASAP (see Barrett 2020 confirmation rush).

Who exactly did Philippe I, Duke of Orleans molest?

The Wikipedia page says he was 'only' involved with the Chevalier de Lorraine, Philippe I's lover(as well as others), but I've also read both of them were involved(and Louise de la Vallière(his mother)'s page mentions he was involved in a homossexual scandal with both of them). Keep in mind Louis wasn't 15 yet when he was exiled as a result of that scandal.

Yeah, I've read about him. IMHO, Louis XIV was a much bigger dick here than Philippe was.
