Preserved for however long it takes for anybody to notice it exists, 20 year old British gag dubs:
I realized this was interesting to me. When this was made it was just a really edgy, gorefest, over-the-top heavy metal piece, ludicrously so. Now today? I'm not sure everybody thinks that Dormammu transforming into Biker Jesus to kill everybody in Mainstream Media, who turn out to be entirely robots and demons, is quite so over the top. Crazy still yes but an awful lot of people don't seem to think it's such a bad thing.
Disagree, The Guy (AKA Disturb's mascot) is the hero, but he's killing the various demons running mainstream media in the video who are turning everybody else into demons and robots via tainted broadcast.Keep in mind, this demon is the hero of the tale.
Is The Guy not a demon?Disagree, The Guy (AKA Disturb's mascot) is the hero, but he's killing the various demons running mainstream media in the video who are turning everybody else into demons and robots via tainted broadcast.
I don't think it's really clear what The Guy is. He's pretty much just a toothy face that shows up in different outfits and guises depending on which Disturbed album it is. He's a carving in a mountain in Immortalized and he's made of paper in The Sickness. In that particular song he's referred to as the Hand of God though while the enemies he's killing are red-skinned horned humanoids that align much more closely to traditional views of demons. Is The Guy not a demon?
