I believe the 28k killed. I don't believe the "only hundreds of Hamas members killed" part. I remember I did a rough analysis from someone saying some thousands of children got killed, and ended up with about an 20% hit rate for Israel as a lowball number, which is reasonable for the situation.
Basically, knowing that children make up about 40%, you can calculate what percent of deaths were against the average civilian populace, then the remainder was likely Hamas deaths. It's a very, very rough estimate, but it isn't horrible either.

Id like to remind you that Rhodesia was the bread basket of africa and was dispite massive international sanctions a pretty successful country. Zimbaway the country that replaced it destroyed itself with hyper inflation and is a poverty ridden hell hole. Just because some ones the underdog it doesn't mean that their not evil.
The 28k killed number is from Hamas run health ministry, so wouldn't trust that if i were you, and no one else has much opportunity to gather independent data, most just parrot what they get, and what they get is the above.

That 25k number is from over a year and a half ago, and only an estimate.
An estimate from around the beginning of the war suggests 40k in military wing alone, and Israel may have its own opinions regarding the civilian status of other kinds of members of Hamas that Hamas would like to vehemently disagree about.
And then there are other terror orgs in Gaza, some of which also took part in the fighting, most major of them being PIJ, numbering somewhere around a thousand to few thousands.
In Pacific War USA killed far more people than it lost to Japan too. Details matter.

History, much like the United Nations, has already dedicated itself to not remembering Israel fondly and has been dedicated to it not surviving this century or last century which is probably why they keep comparing it to South Africa, Rhodesia and Nazi Germany when Israel's adversaries have all typically been far more illiberal, despotic and/or Islamist.
They wouldn't. They may rape or behead people, but LIE? Even Hamas wouldn't stoop that low.

We now have two parties to a war; Israel, and Hamas, both of whom lie.
Which of them is less reprehensible, and why?
Hamas is not party,but somebody tool.And,hence Mossad made them powerfull and let get power in Gaza,they still could be Mossad tool.
So,Hamas is not responsible - whoever own them is.Which could be Mossad,China,Iran,Moscov or somebody else.certainly not Poland,our secret services suck too much for that !

Hamas is more reprehensible on the whole.
But the neocons on the right do want to whitewash Israel and act like it doesn’t harm innocents or do bad things to others not in their nation, and that’s false. In this war Palestine is in the wrong between 60 to 80 percent. But remember Israel is in the wrong between 40 and 20 percent.

Considering the Palestinians won't accept anything less than the complete and total extermination of everyone not like themselves, and won't stop until they achieve that goal, I don't think it matters how much in the wrong Israel is.
